Live From the May Repositioning Cruise

Any indication when the stingray swims will start? Hopefully by October when we are there on the Wonder? Any ideas on where this will be? I would guess in the shallow area between the ship and the family beach or perhaps on the other side of the pier.

Great pictures, keep them coming they help me get through the day!!

When we rented the water cycle on Castaway Cay in February there were lots of Stingray right under us ~ so I would assume that would be a great area for the swim. However, in Grand Cayman they take you out to a sand barrier so perhaps there is one near CC that they will tender you to?

If you read the history of Stingray City in Grand Cayman, the sandbar where they take you used to be a place where the fisherman would go to clean their catch. The stingrays started coming there because they knew it was a good place to feed. My guess, and it's only a guess, is that Disney would have to create something similar on a sandbar. It's my understanding that at Stingray City, the sound of the boat engines now bring the stingrays to the sandbar because they know they will be fed. Kind of liking training dogs, huh?

Does anyone think DCL will do more 14 night cruises in the future???
If they are i'm gonna start saving :goodvibes

If they are bringing Sting Rays to CC -- now is the time for them to be working on it -- they will only have the Wonder docking for the next couple of months.

It would be great if it was ready by the time we get there on 9/02/05 :cool1:

Let's hope the Dumbo Tron is ready 1st week out! Maybe hook up a PS2 to it and play Dumbotron SoComm!!

Ohhh! I love this idea, but I'd prefer a Nintendo Gamecube. Can you imagine us all plying Mario Cart or something? They'd let us do it, wouldnt' they? :) If they don't, I think there are enough of us on that sailing to mutiny. :)

Just got back from the stone island tour. It was great!!!!
Highly recommend it to you guys going here on the magic. ATV's , good food, great communication skills from Dora, the manager, Oscar was tremendous. Disney doesn't tell you that they offer also horseback riding which even the kids can do. Billy and I each rented an ATV and went up the beach for about ten to fifteen miles. It was fabulous. The only problem was that there were jellyfish in the ocean. Many people were stung. We saw the jellyfish as we drove along the ocean. Thousands washed up on shore. You can't fault the tour for an act of nature. I still rec it. they tried to do everything they could to give us a great time. The manager, Oscar De la Cruz said you can have his email address. Mi Casa, Su Casa. He welcomes communication( yes , I told him I would post if he wished). Pm me and I will forward it to you. Tonight, Bob Saget and Kermit the frog with the muppets will be in the Walt theater. The horseback ride allowed Kristen, age 9, to ride along the beach. None of the tours from the ship allowed kids under the age of 12. BIg advantage. Saw Harry from Michigan and Beth E. there also doing Stone Island , but not with Disney. They have the same opportunities. The sky was initially couldy, but cleared up and was beautiful.
A Great DAY!!!!! Sure beat Acapulco, bad experience with the cliff divers, restaurant and city tour. Disney is very interested in knowing all about it. It is nice to see.

Wow! T :goodvibes hx for the update about the Stone Island Tour....that's the one we were going to do!

Great updates about the drydock plans! All the changes sound great!! :cool1:

Mazatlan was fantastic!!! We just came back from shopping and had the best time. We had drinks and appetizers at a great spot right on the water. What a view!! It's such a beautiful country and the weather was perfect.

We made up for some not so great shopping in Curacao and Acapulco. :teeth: Got a large bottle of Kahlua for $11.00. :drinking: Much better jewelry selections here.

*Sigh*, this is one port where we wish we stayed longer. One more to go and then it's back to reality. :sad1:

Well, I finally had the time to sit down and write a quick post. I wanted to express my gratitude to all the Disboarders who have left little Xmas gifts for all of us throughout this great cruise. It has made each day a lot brighter and fun! I've met some of you in person and hope to meet more of you soon. Hard to believe 2 weeks have almost ended. Ken

Everyone on the cruise, be sure to be detailed in your comments about the excursions you went on. These ports are all new to DCL so the feedback will be really valuable in helping them work with the excursion operators to improve the service and correct deficiencies. Be sure to let them know which ones were MAGICal also. I can promise you that someone reads EVERY word that you write and your comments do make a difference.

The Krystal is in Puerta Vallerta and the Repo cruise isn't stopping there. You'll have tao wait until next week whenthe first West Coast cruise sails to get these answers. Boys 2 Men performed last night, and tonight is the Muppets.

We leave on Saturday, Does anyone know how long jellyfish are around after a full moon?
There are just more jellyfish around a full moon, because the full moon plays with the tides. There are just more of them, but there will still be some all summer long because of the warmer waters. There aren't many ships that make calls (actually only one Carnival ship does) on the Mexican Riveria ports during the summer, so there really isn't much know, though warm water and jellyfish go together and probably will be seen all through out the summer in these ports.
