Live From the May Repositioning Cruise

It is our 4th day at sea today our second since the Panama Canal. The decks and ship seem empty today. Think alot of people stayed in their cabins today.

The seas are very calm, got to see alot of dolphins and turtles today as we head to Acapulco.

Not alot of activities during the day so the few events they do have are well attended, we had over 80 people today for a class on digital photography.

Not much else on this quiet peaceful day.

Can't wait for Acapulco Tommorrow.

One thing I hope they add in dry dock is more computers really hard to get on without a long wait.

Does anyone know of a webcam of where the Magic will be docking in Acapulco. I have found two websites but am not sure if they will show the Magic at all. I have found:

Acapulco Web Cam

Acapulco Bay

Anyone know if either of these or any other will show the Magic when docked.
Thanks in advance.

Becky

Could somebody give me the name of the camera operator(s) at Miraflores locks? I'd like to send a personalized thank you note and also a letter of commendation to their supervisor... I think they deserve the extra path on the back for the wonderful job the did. Added their own share of pixie dust :wizard:

Tom and Diana- Glad you are enjoying the trip. I was disappointed to hear that there aren't many daytime activities especially since we will have ten sea days in August.

Thanks for the pictures . They are great. Full moon this am. Orange. about two hours from Acapulco now. ONe station is open on the internet cafe right now. Kay is standing next to me. Bumblesquats,,,,, didn't see them last night. Bad reviews from everyone I talked to. Saw National Treasure instead. Tonight is pirate night. The lines to get on the computer are long all day. Incredible smooth seas yesterday. Very windy today. We are all getting to know our hosts and hostesses very well. It is neat. Like extended family. Sylvester did three magic tricks for Kristen yesterday at dinner. She needed that. Had us all laughing. Vivian is our assistant. I will miss them when it is all over.

Good Morning Alvaro,

I communicated with the canal operators via email and I received 2 reply emails. One was signed JRA and the other Jaime Robleto. Don't know if this person was the actual camera operator.

Hope this helps! :wave2:

Looks like the Magic in Acapulco bay?

Alvaro - buzzman is right, I had gotten emails from Jaime Robleto as well as Dsilio (I believe that was the other one I got).

I also received a very nice reply from Jaime stating that he looks forward to the Magic's return on August 28!!!!!! :)

Thanks and that would be a wonderful thing to do for Jaime. I'm not sure if he was the only one operating cameras but if he was - he did an awesome job!

Phone service is back up and running! Pictures are coming in! Here's a pic of Captain Mickey this morning in Acapulco.

Oh what FUN! Has Peter got his running shoes on for the great Acapulco T-shirt race? LOL!

Peter did not compete in the Great T-Shirt Race. The winner? I'll save that for someone onboard to report :rotfl2:

Show of hands...

Who thought the Magic was a tight fit in the Panama Canal :wave2: :wave2:

The crew has already started repainting the scars from her trip though the canal.

Is your Sylvester from India? If so, we had him as our server in January. It was like leaving family behind when we disembarked. He made our vacation very special. I have a picture to insert but can't figure out how to do it.
Are you at table #56 by any chance?

We also had Sylvester on our first trip in 2001. He was great. When I had to leave dinner because DS had a migraine he brought my dinner down the cabin. He also sent a nice dessert back with DH. We saw him in 2003 selling the wine packages on embarkation. We bought our package from him. Maybe we'll see him in August.

Our running joke when we got home was - everytime I had to cut up DS's food "I wish Sylvester were here" - because either he or Dolly would always cut up his food so I didn't have to.
