Just got home from work. What a thread!!! 16 pages since I left. Just want to say thank you for all the pics, really makes one wish that you were on the Magic.

Okay, I had to skip to the end to post this because I'm very busy but DH made a movie of going through the miraflores locks. It's a little big, 4.7Mb, but worth the wait for those who missed it (like myself, ack!)

Lisa, please thank your DH from Allan, Joy and I. We loved it!!! Of course, with our time difference over here in the Isle of Man, we didn't see it live - this was just as good! We really appreciate all of the efforts of all the DISers in keeping us informed, updated and educated.

I cannot read all of the pages that appear every day, just can't do it.
We are coming up on Costa Rica soon. Seas have us bouncing around alot although they have wavelets. I know I'll have seasickness at Disneyland. Panama Canal was a dream, Couln't ask for a better trip. We go pictures on our digital camera of Willie Friar at the building with all of the Panamanians. She is holding a sign with her initials. Words cannot express the happiness that being here is creating. This is once in a lifetime. The vice president of operations is talking today. Also the head of ABC sports, I think. I don't ;have the navigator with me. Every time we hear the Disney horn, It makes you want to cry. The kids just don't get it. The adults do. Current total of pictures with our digital camera is over 1200. We have our laptop and can burn CD's. This is a MUST!!!! We still have a week to go and just about every picture is great. I think our camera is a Canon AR 95. Angela bought it just for this cruise. It doesn't seem to be able to take a bad picture. It can also do two minutes worth of video when needed., We were at Animator's Palate last night. They had a mickey mouse club show at the end of dinner. All of the characters came in and walked through in line as the childrenm added in . While the music was playing over and over. All of the hosts were wearing their Mickey hats. I missed the first show in Animators because I was at Palo. Won't make that mistake again. I have had enough of Palo. It just doesn't do it for me any more. Same menu.
Tonight,,,,,,, Disney Dreams,,,,,, I am experiencing it as we speak, I think.
This is a Disney Dream. And I've got another week coming.
As I reflect on this cruise and the things said about other cruise lines, I doubt that I will ever try another cruise line. I don't think I wish to lose what I've got. And they can't do this. I think I need a dancing banana
There, I feel better. Character breakfast is this morning in Parrot Cay. PS,, for a digital lcamera, you also need batteries. Get the rechargable ones. It has been worth it. Found out that we have another baby disser next to us. Emily, can't remember her dis name is between us and the Walt suite. That means that the Dis board has three of the four cat 3 mid ship suites. I'll try to get her to post. Having trouble getting Coasternut to post also.

Hi Bill--I had a total blast yesterday watching the Magic sail through the Panama Canal, I can only imagine what it must have been like on the ship. I did hear from a couple of CM's (from the ship) yesterday, and they sounded so excited about going through the canal as well. Keep enjoying this adventure of a lifetime, 1200 photos and still a week to go, OH MY!!!

You're right, Andy. The cast is just as excited as we are. That makes this cruise soooooo special. I am hoping that my office was able to get webcam shots of us going through the canal and locks. This is important. Saw some shutters pics of us docked at Curacao. Think I'll have to get one, although I have some that are spectacular. I'm looking out the portholes as I type on deck three and also can see the doors to parrot cay. I'm on the computer that is out near the hall. Oh no, Kay just arrived, whatever will I do. Wheeled up on her scooter doing about fifty. There are larger wave at least two or three feet tall. Kind of cool here. We still have a thousand miles to go according to the report from the bridge. Just beginning to relax. Hard to do when everything is so darned exciting. Hi Kay, post something.

Hi Bill. If you had read the thread you would see there there are tons of screen captures taken. In fact there are also a couple of quicktime movies of both the morning and afternoon locks.

WOW, words cannot discribe the last 24 hours between the wonderful dis-members and the Magic going to the west coast
i was trying to keep up copying & pasting the pics and the movies to send to family & friends, they were all amazed. i think i finally brought them all around, why we are just crazy about DCL,WDW,DL, Mickey & Minnie

TxDisneyFan - you are in for a real treat when you stay at the Wilderness Lodge - it's my favorite.

Don't forget to do the following:

1. - Eat at Whispering Canyon, it's the restarurant in the lobby , this is a must
2. - Get tickets for the very merry christmas party and also the candlelight processional
3. - Go see all the story tellers in EPCOT World Showcase
4. - Go to the Backyard BBQ and/or Hoop Dee Doo

My DH created a simple slide show of the highlights of the Magic going through the Gatun Locks -- though after seeing the longer videos others posted, he did not want to post. I like the short one he set up and others might also because it allows time at each shot and you move on at your own pace.

I was just thinking that! Now that the excitement of the Canal crossing is past, I bet the next week will be about rest and relaxation. Until the Magic arrives in California!

It must be sooo great to spend a week on my favorite ship in the world, get all crazy and then spend a week recovering! LOL

Sounds like my kind of vacation!

Great picture - special thanks to you all for keeping us informed. Now a question for those on-board -----

Did you have a ceremony on board and have all the guests become members of the "Order of the Ditch" as you passed through the Canal ? You should also receive a special certificate for that event.

From what I gather this this is sort of traditional naval thing and might be a lot of fun for all.

Another ceremony would be becomming a Shellback for crossing the equator - after looking at a map I don't think this would apply but it will be close.
