Did you do any tours or did you just shop? Where did you shop? Where are the shops?

Diamonds International provides complimentary transportation to the main shopping district. Be sure to get a coupon for it. (It's way too far to walk.)

We just shopped in Mazatlan and found Joe's Oyster Bar for an oceanfront lunch. :)

BTW, they had all of the gifts and plaques on display last night that were given to the Magic from all of the new ports that we visited. Very impressive to see. Hopefully there will be a permanent display of them sometime soon. :flower:

:wave2: Thanks for my virtual cruise! Enjoy every last moment of your trip! Be sure to take lots of pictures as you work your way to your shuttles, cabs, limos etc. :wave2:

after months of lurking because of this thread. Thanks to all of those on and off the ship who helped me feel like I was on the Magic all over again (and for ten more days!).

Regina- can you just tell me what city you were in that had "Diamonds International provides complimentary transportation to the main shopping district. Be sure to get a coupon for it. (It's way too far to walk.) " I'm not sure if you are referring to Cabo or Maz. Thanks!

The DISers are having lunch at Parrot Cay today. I wonder what the response will be when we ask for a table for 300?? :rotfl:

i did find a link to the webcams that run along the beaches south to LA, maybe be we can at least see the magic going by, although i am not sure how close the cruise ships come near the beaches. today it looks foggy & rainy,

If I have my bearings right the Cabrillo beach cam is a possibility. If you pan it to the left I believe you can see the breakwater that the Magic will enter the port through (passing just south of what you can see on the camera. Since the camera will also pan inside the breakwater there is a possibility you might be able to see her. I don't know how often the cam refreshes though. And, I believe it will be dark when the Magic arrives. Even if that is the case it might work for the departure tomorrow afternoon. Hope so!

My scratchy red line I believe shows the route the Magic will take entering/departing the port. The web cam is indicated to the left.
Corrections to my assumptions are welcome.

I just wanted to thank everyone who has posted on this thread, particularly those on the cruise who took their time to share their MAGICal experience with us!

Pixie dust to all... and hope that your transition back to reality is smooth and joyful! :wizard:

A great two weeks....

Can't wait to hear from the "Ship of Fools" in August!

I'll be standing where the street meets the cliffs & taking pics tomorrow morning. I've been asking, but can someone tell me what time the ship is expected to arrive at LA? I want to be there before it gets there and film it coming into port.

Yes, the ship will pass through the channel that you can see from the Cabrillo Beach webcam. Not sure the timing, but this is the right camera.
