Galveston is three hours from us. We were just talking about a quick trip to see the Magic! They have a nice cruise terminal that is real easy to see the ships from the Fisherman's Wharf right next door.

Road Trip sounds good to me.

They probably would come in on Saturday like planned.

Kiko, I was thinking the same thing. I can get down there in 4 -5 hours or so. Maybe we'll have to go see the ship and spend the night in Houston.

I don't understand how DCL cabn have a 9 night cruise and still keep to the schedule of Saturday to saturday cruises on the Magic. If it doesnt return to port on Sat., what happens to the people who are scheduled to sail on Sat? It seems that there's no leeway. so how can this work?

DCL posted on their site that the Magic will have a 5 day cruise returning next Saturday.

CM Mom, I've been thinking about you as I read these posts, knowing you are worrying about your daughter ....... I hope the fact that the ship is moving out of harm's way will help your stomach!

Magic will return to port on Monday. It will then have a 5 day cruise instead of 7. Those scheduled to go have options--cancel, rebook, go and receive discounts and other perks.

The Wonder that left today will also return on Monday. It will then have a 3 day cruise instead of 4. Those cruisers also have the same options.

Believe the ones on the Wonder that left today are scheduled to go to Cozumel one day. The 3-day next week will be at sea. The 5 day will visit Western ports to be determined.

I am so glad that the present cruisers are out of harm's way. I am scheduled for 9/11 and hoping that all is well for us to get to MCO and PC.

Cool. I was in Clear Lake in January. We ate at Sawgrass steak house. Went to Galveston for the day. Stayed in Pearland.

Yes, they should! We visited Galveston in Jan. and Sprint had service. That's a nice area to be stuck in. Nice little shops and restaurants on the wharf. What fun!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for thinking about DD. She called today from Costa Maya and said the port is absolutely beautiful. She had some time off and was going ashore for lunch.

I've been watching the weather and the boards a lot but mainly because I'm interested and wondering what would happen to the poor folks in Florida. I just heard on the Weather Channel that Frances has weakened slightly so hopefully it won't be quite as bad as earlier forecast and may not do as much damage on Castaway Cay.

Since they went to Castaway Cay on Sunday and then to the Western Ports, I haven't been worried about DD's safety. Like I told my mom, she's on the safest place she can be during this type of weather. With the quality of the weather forecasts, the Captain can sail far away from the storm to ensure the safety and comfort for both the passengers and crew.

For all of you on the Magic, have a wonderful time and pray that Frances weakens more so she doesn't do as much damage to Florida and the Bahamas.

Have you seen what is coming behind Frances? When I looked the other night, there were two other "disturbances" that looked like they could pull themselves together.

Glad to know your DD is safe and doing well...I hope the change in plans puts the crew into a festive spirit, too!

This is a great thread! Thanks for all the information! I've been copying a lot of it to the yahoogroups magiccruisesforless list because people on there have been asking about itineraries, etc.

We, too, are cruising on the 9/26 four-day, and my kids have been asking a lot of hurricane questions. I knew WDW wouldn't cancel; I just wanted to know where we would go if another hurricane came through! Hey, Cozumel sounds GREAT!!!!!!

I hope CC doesn't get hit hard and/or they have it cleaned up by the 9/26 cruise! We've been stocking up on underwater cameras and snorkeling equipment! We're dying to see the submarine and Mickey! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Hello Everyone..

I hope and pray That everyone in the path of the storm will be safe...

I know that my family and everyone on board are in the Best possible place to be...

So far the passangers on board are very excited about the 2 extra nights...There are some who are miserable about the idea, but I guess they dont understand that Captain Tom and DCL are trying to keep the Ship, Crew and all passangers Safe...

Has anyone heard about the storm serge by Port Canaveral?..

My car is parked there, and I need to drive back to NY...If it washes away, its not a big deal...But I am just curious...

With that all said...And like I said...I hope everyone in the Path will be ok...

The Crew have all been awesome...From The cleaning people playing around with my kids...The painters that pass by my Verandah and Make faces at us..To The Capt. and all the Officers...

I now know why We have used DCL before...

We have Clive and Vivian as our servers...I hope that everyone here gets Them....Clive has been onboard for a while, and Vivian Is new...

Today should be a great day at sea..We are having a 2:00pm Dis Meet on deck 9, Goffy Pool...Everyone that has Alcohol with them are bringing it up..We even have 2 or 3 smoothie makers also..hahahahaah

I am keeping all the Navigators and will post them as soon as we get home...

Pirates Night Is a definate Hit...The menus are Great..Rolled up in string like a Treasure Map...

We even had Tropical night last night..Imagine..Pirate night and the Mexicali night Back to back on the same cruise..

Im trying to think what else to type, but dont want to keep it too long..
