Ok, so we´re late getting started ' but having a wonderful time. I´m in Costa Maya now and wanted to add to the LIVE thread but didn´t see one ... we´re all having a great time!

I can´t believe it´s Wednesday already. It´s overcast here today but the sun is trying to peek out. There are at least two other cruise ships in port with us. Carnival and RCCL.

The ship is fabulous, the food is wonderful and the service has been fantastic.

DH is waiting for me while watching a mariachi band so I´d better go since I have the cash and he wants to shop. The boys are in the Lab today as they didn´t want to get out in the rain, and it´s nice to explore w-o them. This keyboard is different than US so forgive the weird typing :)

We´re already figuring out our best bet to rebook. No news about beyond April or different - longer itinerarys.

Hope you have a great time. Thanks for taking time out to report.
We are hoping to do this cruise next year.

Have a great time....hope SOMEONE is keeping the Turkeyday Tradition" alive!!!!

I have been wondering how you all are doing.....my friend (SpotnCleo) is onboard (Laura, Rob and 3kids), and every time I drive by their house...I think...."ahhhh they are on the disney cruise!"

Hope the weather stays clear.....Happy Holidays.

Cindy- how about a report about 80's night? Did you get to be a Go Go?

Glad you are having a great time!

Please let me know how Grand Cayman went with six ships there at once. Was it way too crowdwd? TIA

Hi Everyone! Well, it was a sad day at Port Canaveral when we had to leave the Magic this morning. What a fabulous week we had. I'll be working on my trip report this week coming up.

Regarding Grand Cayman - I know we saw 4 cruise ships in port... us, RCCL, Carnival and NCL. We did an excursion thru DCL - the one that is the Island tour that takes you to hell, the turtle farm, and Stingray City. It was pretty good. There were 40+ people on the excursion and we were at the back of the line, so the shuttle bus we were on wasn't full - and as it turned out, another DIS-Boarder and family were on the same bus, and if I remember correctly, all of us on the bus were from Florida :) After the shore excursion, we just got back on the Magic, so I didn't get a feel for how crowded it was.

In Costa Maya, there were three cruise ships in port - us, RCCL, and Carnival. The other two ships off-loaded before us and it was really crowded in the port area. Shoulder-to-shoulder for a while. We were back on board before noon (the children opted to stay onboard after we got off and it was raining. I'm glad they made that decision since we hadn't scheduled an excursion and it was lousy weather.)

I didn't make it to 80's night, but I did see the cruise staff in their 70's attire.

I haven't had dinner tonight because when I sat down at the table, no one brought me a menu. And I had to drive myself to the grocery store instead of just walking up a flight of stairs. And pour my own soda instead of using a beverage fountain. And of course the kids wanted me to bake cookies for Santa tonight - no just running up to Goofy's Galley or calling room service for a plate of cookies. When will the rocking stop???

Can't wait to read about everyone else's trip and compare notes.

It finally subsided for me this morning. Had a great time, rented an electric car in Key West, hit Southernmost Point and Ft. Zachary. In Grand Cayman, we rented a car and hit Hell and Bodden Town (was easy to get around after 3 trips through Hell and FINALLY picking up a map!). We were off the boat in Costa Maya for two hours tops, just peeked in some shops. Castaway Cay was amazing, although water was a bit cool. Great cabana massage!

The final pub night skit on the last night had me in tears, it was hilarious!

Ain't it the truth?! I almost missed the show because I went to pick up my younger DS in the Lab but he begged me for 30 more minutes, so I let him stay and I went down to see the show. I was :rotfl2: ... I don't know which role was the funniest, but I do know putting them all together was a stitch.

My kids LOVED Pirate night - they had a great time dancing on deck.

Castaway Cay was more than I ever imagined.

http://photoshow.comcast.net/watch/VK4vU9uq is where I have my pictures from our cruise. I used the Photo Show feature from Comcast and there are a bazillion pictures, but if you have the time and bandwidth, take a look. I'm working on a "lite" version and will share the link when I have it done...

What an awesome slide show!!! No pics of the after Formal night fiasco?? :rotfl:

LOL - no way! What a disaster that was! But I've got to tell you how fabulous the CMs were about it. They blocked off the area to keep people from walking thru it (and fortunately we were seated near the entrance so it wasn't right by someone's table directly). I was out of the restaurant with my older son when it happened, so when he and I were going back to the table, I saw someone had been sick but it wasn't til we got back to the table that we found out from our dinner mates that it was my younger son. ICK. Too much mac/cheese!

Anyway, Richard and Sachin and Maclean were fabulous about it - and of course we missed dessert because we went up to see how DH and DS#2 were doing, but they told me they would send dessert up later if we wanted - to just let them know. So after the show that night (Golden Mickeys), my older DS and I went back to Parrot Cay and Maclean had a dessert tray sent up. Can I tell you how much I love the creme brulee cheesecake? Of course I didn't take a picture of it - the one I loved the most and no photo! Oh well.

The next night, I went to dinner by myself :rotfl2: DH had been for a run and got back later and also the boys didn't want to get dressed for dinner, so I reminded myself that it was their vacation, too - so DH and the boys got food from Deck 9 and I got my picture made with Mickey and Minnie and then had a delightful dinner with my table mates in Lumiere's (my favorite restaurant on the Magic). The boys only ate dinner with us one more night and that was the next night for Pirate night.
