Hi all! Well day one is pretty much coming to a close for us. Kasey is in her pajamas in bed watching the little mermaid with grandma!
We got to port around 930 and were sent tot he day lot to wait for the port to open. Got in there aruond 10:15 and boarded around 11:45 or so. Went straight to Palo and got ressies for brunch, tea and dinner! I went to dining changes to see where we were sitting and who our waitor was...the one we wanted is on vacation so we have a guy named Den and a girl named May, both very nice!! They orginally had us at a table with strangers but I had that switched when I went to the dining changes guy. Picked up our tickets for tea with wendy and the bridge tour then went to the spa and got my 2 ressies I wanted there. Stopped off and registered my daughter at the kids club then went to lunch at Parrot Cay. They tried to tell us to go to topsiders that there was a 30 minutes wait at Parrot Cay but we said that was fine we would wait...well in 5 minutes we were seated! After that we unpacked all our clothes-thank goodness for that over the door shoe holder, the room we are in is so small. I have not sailed in a room without a verandah before and this is a cat 11- I can't say that I would ever book this cat. again though! It a bit to claustrophopic for me in there! Went up tot he lifeboat drill, took all of 10 minutes, if that and we were back in our cabin then heading to the sail away party. We didn't actually sail away though since they announced we were waiting for a couple families to get there, I think we sailed aroudn 615 or so. Ate dinner in animators, food was good but just to much of it, we couldn't even get through desert!
I forgot to pack socks for my daughter-a major trauma for her- so I had to buy 2 pair in the store onboard, they are to big for her but she is happy something is on her feet!
I had shirts made that said "gails magical disney cruise" and one for my mom and one for my daughter...my mom said we were going to look like jerks LOL...but we didn't look anywhere are funny as this other family....there were 13 of them and they all had on orange shirts that said "farkle family"...but each had a different name- one was fanny farkle, fussy farkle, farmer farkle, foo-foo farkle, flower farkle etc....my daughter would start sing songing "the farkle family" whenever she saw them, she was getting a kick out of the names!
Oh we stopped by and saw Shirley while we were in port! It was great to finally meet her! There was a great gift basket from her in the room when we got there for my daughter that I had ordered. When she saw it she just yelled "mommy look what shirley sent me"...yea like I had nothing to do with it LOL!!

There is a big difference between a category 10 & an 11. Looking forward to reading your posts this week.
I"m getting on when you're getting off. We watched you sail off today on the net. My girls looked at the pics from Port Cam and we noticed that you were still in port at 5:40 !!!
They don't care about the veranda and it's not worth several hundred dollars just to have them next door.
