Here we are Tuesday morning and ALL tenders have been cancelled due to "large swells". Yes we were at GC and ready to get tender tickets when the Captain announced that we will no be staying.....another day at sea.....looks like the storm is 100 miles away but we have to sail thru to get to Costa Maya....We are all having a BLAST......disers are everywhere....
O.K., as you all know 5thsailing for us and there ARE a few negatives so far. The service isn't what I remember it being......long waits in Diversions for drinks during Sunday football, it seems to be the same way all around the ship....seems like there is less CMs.......Saturday we get our KTTW cards and VERY happy that DCL put ALL of us disers on the APL rotation but.......Split MY 2 staterooms up to different tables!!!! Myself and 2 girls with Willie and family (at table 9)and DW and 1 DD at table 6......I think DW thought I did it on purpose.......talk about a LONG afternoon. :rotfl2: When I requested they change at Guest services they said "we can't do anything until tomorrow"....to which I responded "that's not an option" the resturant Mgr. ended up accomodating us. After I met with him at the expence of missing the 6:00 show.......The toilet in our room has broke every day.....won't flush....last time was last night....
All in all I am on vacation with a bunch of party peeps.......one more day at sea.....let's see what us disers will take over today!!!!

Sorry to hear you're missing GC today. :( Bummer!

I hope the Captain is able to find you some warm sun somewhere, though!

It is really great to hear from everyone! I especially love your new title, Lampy! Tinkerbelle...Oh, that will keep me laughing for days now!!! :rotfl:

Keep reporting back to us...the GOOD, the BAD, and the UGLY!!!!

Rough seas = Ginger Tablets. Keep having fun and hope you survive the day. Looking forward to your updates.

Sorry about Grand Cayman!!! :guilty: It is scary to board those tenders in large swells though. We got stuck in Grand Cayman in March this year when it was nice weather but all of a sudden large swells. It was SCARYtrying to get on the little boats in very wavy water!!! :earseek: Glad the Capt. is keeping you safe. Have fun on your day at sea and the rest of the cruise!!!! :sunny: Congrats on the Tinkerbell legs award!!! You must be proud!!!!!!! :cheer2:

The best part of this cruise is the Disers!! It's wonderful to see friendly faces everywhere!! We are on our 2nd Disney Magic and had very high expectations since we loved our cruise last Thanksgivng.

However, there are many disappointed people on board today. What doesn't make sense is why we went all the way to GC to find out we couldn't get off of the ship. Wasn't there communication from ship to shore earlier than 7:30 this morning? We knew about Gamma before we ever left PC, couldn't the itinerary be modified? These are just a few of the many questions being asked.

The seas are very choppy and it is very windy.

Oh well, we will try to make the best of an unplanned day at sea.

Sorry you guys didn't make it to Grand Cayman! We had a similar thing happen to us on our cruise in Jan. of 2003. It was very much a last minute decision that day also and they never really explained why it was such a last minute decision. I remember rushing DD up to Topsisders for a quick breakfast and them making an announcement about how the tenders would work and then we rushed back down to our cabin to get our sunscreen on before our excursion to Stingray City and the next thing I know it seemed like we should have stopped moving and should have dropped anchor we went out on deck and couldn't see land anywhere and the announcemnent came that we weren't going to be able to stop at Grand Cayman because it was too rough to tender came after we should have already been there. We got an extra day at sea, our money for the cancelled excursion was refunded, and we got to Cozumel early. We arrived at Cozumel around 10pm that night instead of the next morning and they did let people off the ship that night. I know you guys are going to Costa Maya instead of Cozumel, will they maybe get you there early?

Try to make the best of your extra sea day! I hope you have calm seas and sunshine wherever you go today!!!

Well, I figured I'd check back in. I talked to one of the CMs and they said we were going to sail into the storm so hopefully we will be thru it by noon.......the revised navigators came out at around 8:30 and it looks like they just added some of the things from yesterday.....build a car out of fruit and veggies......DW was dissappointed that no more movies were added. I looked thru the weater page and see no big storms so I am confused......
And as Iceman said, there are more dissappointed people because we sailed ALL THE WAY to GC to see the seas were to rough....hmmmmmm A CM had a pretty good idea Sunday that we were going to have an issue today....oooohhhhhhh I see some sun!!! :cool1: Heading to deck 10......

Has the service improved?

I am coming on to the Magic when you guys finish draining the boat of alcohol and have been telling the 30 people coming with me how great Disney service is and now I am worried that the experience on my first cruise will not be the same. I would be upset if I talked 30 people to come experience a Disney cruise because it is the best and the service be OK but not great. Thanks!

If anyone see's Molli (ohmom) and Bev (AlreadyExcitedGrammy) on board- Tell them MelanieC say's hi and I hope they are having a FABULOUS vacation!!

Sorry to hear everyone missed GC. I hope you get to Costa Maya early and you can at least have some extra fun there.
Wishing my cruise was this year!! Next year this time I'll be getting ready to head down to Florida for our FIRST DCL sailing the Saturday after Thanksgiving!

Hello DISers
11:40 and the SEAS are rough
Sun is out(this second) but gone the next

DS stayed at a friends cabin, Grounding will be at home!
Don't listen to Doogie. I only drink when there are freebies
That way drink my fill in one hour and sleep the next three.

This has been a different cruise for us
with DS16, DD14,DD13, i can see that they are weening themselves from the MOUSE. Well, I never want to grow up!
One thing for them is that they are talking and meeting so many friends.
Oh Wait, DW and i are meeting and talking to so many friends.

I tell you the DIS is making a lot of friendships on the boat
At least the Adults still like the MOUSE even though some corporate decisions are still evident.

All in All, the Magic still has some Magic but lost some of it's great service that it was know for. If you ask, "will i return even though my disapointments?"

Aaaa, Like, Yea!, you have to ask?

John :earboy2:

PS BTW The 80's is TONIGHT!

Well, we are pumped and primed
OK so we had Miller Lites at the hot tube on the ship.
Bon Jovi's are in the house.
Alot of talk, let's see the action! :bounce:

Several Disers are heading to the Castaway Reception
I am sure it will be as rough as the Sea
Let's see if they want our business!

Shh, don't tell the MOUSE, i'll book onboard anyway
PEPS, the only way to go is with a bunch of DIS people
The Kids don't want us to be around. and well .......

John :earboy2:

LOL- I am up at the Cove Cafe, and I see that 5J John has just posted. As you have already read, we didn't make it onto Grand Cayman this morning. We were awoken by an announcement from the Captain at 7:15 AM telling us that we were at Grand Cayman, but we were taking off.

We rushed up to Deck 10 to see the Magic drive away from Grand Cayman. The tenders were cancelled by the Grand Cayman authorities. We watched a Carnival and Celebrity ship sail away as well.

Today was still great. We were in the sun almost all day. They opened up Palo for brunch again. The seas were a little rough, but nothing too bad. It was a nice relaxing day.

Tonight we get to see twice charmed, and it is 80's night. I saw some collaberating going on in the hot tub at the quiet cove pool. This is going to be quite a show.

Tomorrow is Costa Maya and pirate night. What is not to like?

The TCD party has not had any kind of problem with service or quality on this cruise. Everything has been great.

Please continue to send pixie dust. We have had 4 pretty good days of weather so far, and we would all love another nice day tomorrow on Costa Maya.

We saw Molli and Preston at Palo brunch yesterday, and my DW had a pleasant conversation with Bev this morning. I saw Bev and Dan up on Deck 10 earlier today (Bev was really enjoying the drink of the day, maybe a little too much if you know what I mean). I am sure that we will run in to them again, and will tell them that you said hello.

Remember the end of cruise survey! Let the cm's know that you know there is a survey comming, if they care.

:cold: here!!!

Have fun all!!
pirate: is tomorrow, correct?
