Live from Thanksgiving Magic

Just wanted to say hi! We have one Dismember next door to us! Perfect weather. Boat not rocking much. Had our first Cc day yesterday, will go back on Friday. Much better than Key West! Formal night is tonight. Heading to Grand Cayman. Will do full reports when I get back. Had brunch today!

I think this cruise was planned as having two stops at Castaway Cay. There was some kind of event at Key West this weekend, and the ship couldn't call there.

They should keep the 2 Castaway Cay day itinerary. Much nicer than Key West!

Heck, on the 3 day cruises they can just skip Nassau, since a lot of people don't even get off the ship.
Just park us at Castaway Cay, I could handle that.

I am feeling so sad today. Last year at this time we were on the Magic having the vacation of our lives. I am dreaming of our trip next year, and it can't get here soon enough.

We also were able to enjoy a cruise with 2 days at CC - wonderfully relaxing!!!

They need to skip KW completely and just head over to CC!!!!

Saw on the TV that the offshore powerboat races that are in Key West, that caused the Magic to divert were almost cancelled due to a large group of sea turtles that wanted to start the mating season early

Yes, the Magic couldnt go to Key West this week (boat races in harbour), thats why they are at CC for 2 days. I would have been very disappointed not to have gone to Key West............. it was great. We LOVE CC, but if we had wanted to sit on a beach all day we wouldnt have booked to go on a cruise. Thought the idea of a cruise is to see different places, without the hassle of getting there? Never sure why so many people go on an expensive cruise, then sit around the pool all day, or head for the beach. Surely it would be cheaper to stay at beach location? We spoke to numerous people on our cruises who NEVER went further than the beach: they missed SO much. Still, you cant beat a Disney cruise! Just what the doctor ordered! Nat

Tiffany where are you? I was at the DIS meet on Sailaway. Nobody there. Isn't our weather just great! Cozamel tomorrow!

We're at the 8:30 seating and it's AP tonight then Palos for Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree about the post about KW. I want to go back, I don't think we really saw all the beauty there, even though we had fun!

Key West was having some kind of international regatta meet/competition or such so the port was already quite occupied and then some.

Hope that you are all having a great time. I am sad here though since we just got off the ship Saturday. If you manage to see Rudy & Bayoki at dinner tell them Kaitlyn & William say hello. Wish that I had listened to our host Don about staying in the extra storage room.

Is the ship decorated for the holidays yet? We leave 12/6 and I can't wait to see the ship. Also, are they doing the holiday activities too? I think I remember reading about family gingerbread house decorating last year. My dd wants to do that. Do they decorate the staterooms at all also?

Lucky you were Western - heard a report that there were numerous whale beaching themselves at Marigot, St. Marten on Monday night.

What a horrific sight to see if you were there Tuesday AM when they had expired.

Cheryl N: We're at Palos for Thanksgiving and if Tiffany doesn't post the menu, I will.

LOVETHATMOUSE: Yes the Magic is decorated for Christmas. It's not overly decorated, though. We have seen Gingerbread houses that were decorated, so I assume they have that. Nope, the the staterooms are not decorated.
