We took our first Disney Vacation last month and went to AKL Jambo House. I had reserved a 1 BR Villa Standard and we got a magical upgrade to a Savannah View as well! The CMs were great, the hotel was beautiful, and the animals were amazing. We also loved Boma and the pool!

Can't wait to go back.

We are on the sunset savannah and have seen most of the animals listed, there are no zebras on sunset though.

We stayed at Jambo House last year with a view of Sunset Savanna. We could only see zebras in the distance; they never came all that close.

However, last week we stayed at Kidani Village. The zebras (seven of them, I think) were always in that area of Sunset Savanna. In fact, we were eating at Sanaa and the herd ran right by the windows, chased by two wildebeests.

Even though the two buildings share the Sunset Savanna, in my experience the animals seem to hang out closer to Kidani. We saw the giraffes on a more consistent basis, as well. Oh, and ankole cattle, which we did not see from Jambo.

Well I guess I was wrong, yesterday around 5 when we got back from the park we saw not one, but five zebras right outside our balcony! We haven't seen giraffes in a few days, it almost seems like they are rotated if that's even possible. DD swam til almost midnight last night while they showed a movie by the pool, she loved it. So sad we have to pack up and leave today.

We are also staying at Club Level! I'm not very " techy" so i just tried to copy and paste what the IPO sent me. She said only the times of the activities will change for the fall, but the activities themselves should remain the same.

I am so excited to hear about your trip! We just upgraded our room to PV BB. My kids really wanted the BB. I didn't even know about them. We booked AKL on a whim when the WDW agent priced the lowest Deluxe for us when I called to book POR. So we hadn't explored anything about AKL. We went online to check out the pictures and saw the bunk beds and I knew those would be perfect! No one likes to share a bed with my youngest because she sleeps CRAZY!

Anyway, you are making me so excited for our trip!

Now that I have seen that list of activities, I feel like I need to schedule some resort time!

I must confess I am an owner at VWL, but AKL Jambo house is my favorite site on property or off. I've stayed at almost every resort on property and will say Jambo beats them all for me - except VWL decorated for Christmas.

Part of me wishes we didn't buy until AKL was an option. I was very negative about AKL because of where it is on the outskirts of the happenings. But I think it is the most relaxing and has a resort feel missing from the others.

As soon as I can do an add-on its AKL for me.
