Forgive my forwardness, but at this time of year in HHI the fun is in the room. Ok, I'm sure there is other things to do too...

I have three kids, ages 14, 11, and 8, and we are at HH for our second Thanksgiving (the last being in 2005). We arrived Wednesday, and will drive home tomorrow, so it is a fairly short trip, but we're having a great time. I'm posting this right now using the wireless out by the pool...Amazingly, my kids are in the pool even though the air temperature is just above 50 degrees. They are having a great time, but will not enjoy the walk back to our villa!

This is the second time we've been to the pool (it was much warmer yesterday), plus we've spent a little time at the beach. Mostly we've just relaxed, played games, and enjoyed the beautiful grounds of the resort. I would like to try the kayak tour, but we just didn't get around to it this time. There have been a number of fun-sounding activities, such as story-telling at the campfire last night, and a shirt-making activity this morning, but we haven't tried many of those either. Maybe next time (and there will be a next time)!

Whew! I'm so glad to hear I was wrong! I just love HHI, and I really didn't want to discourage anyone from going there. I remember now that you mention it that there were a lot of kids at the pool. Where were you Wednesday nite? We had excellent shrimp, chicken, and lots of yummy etcs at the Beach House-a wonderful time!

Hello Fellow HHI Thanksgiving folks!
We just got back last night from a week at the resort and had a great time again ( second year in a row). We ate at Signes twice. Thanks to all for the tip about eating this place. It was great! Conan I saw you at the football game (your team stomped us)and at Signes on Saturday. The weather was beautiful in the mid to high 70's from Monday to Thursday. Our kids did the pool, the ocean(saw dolphins up close), kayaking, biking, and fishing. We were a group of 5 families so there were lots of cousins to play with. The sad thing now is we have no DVC trips planned . We've been to Vero and loved it there but we like the beach much better at HH. Anyway it's 25 degrees here and we are in shock but Xmas is coming so HO-HO-HO and Happy Holidays!
