Well, we got here yesterday, after the drive through the pouring rain from Charleston Airport. I think our GPS was wacky-from Charleston Airport to here via Parris Island? We saw parts of SC I've never seen-and we've come in from Charleston before! Anyways, the island is super-busy. We immediately went to Roastfish and Cornbread after we checked in, and there were at least 30 people waiting (at 5:45?), so we went to the British Open Pub. Even there, we had to wait a few minutes for a table. The front desk here said that Easter is packed, but then it dies down again before summer. When we checked in, we got info on the Low Country Boil. We've never done that-is it worth it? We're in a studio (see my other post about studios), #1126. The view's beautiful, and I loved it, until I woke up this morning to the sun glaring off the water. It's supposed to reach 80 degrees today-warmer than we've ever encountered here-so glaring sun isn't for me. Maybe this afternoon will be better. Guy's golfing (naturally), then we're going to the Sea Shack. I think we're going to get lunch to go and eat outside there or here. Later we might go to Pinckney NWR, then Fish Haul Beach (I think that's the name). Somewhere in there we'll go to the Sea Pines "Will Call" so Guy can get his pass to the PGA tournament tomorrow.
