Live from Disney World, now including MNSSHP

This is great - we haven't seen any pictures yet (other than Universal's promo material) from WWOHP. My daughter is DYING to go! I don't know if we can wait until April to go - we may have to sneak a trip in before then!

What do you think of your hotel?

Thanks for sharing! :wizard:

We finished up the rest of IoA and the Studios by 12:30 yesterday. Stopped to have lunch at the Beverely Hills Boulangerie at the Studios on the way out. The deserts are to die for but we didn't have any cause the sandwiches are 5 POUNDS each.

Headed back to the Royal Pacific and spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool. We had a lovely dinner at Emeril's Tchoup Chop. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. Back in the room by 8:00 PM to see who will win the Power of Veto (Sorry Britany. Hate to see you go.)

We managed to get out of our room and over to IoA for the early morning admission at 8:00. It wasn't that busy and the stroll to the WWoHP was pleasant. Our first stop was Ollivander's Wand Shop. I'm not a Harry Potter fan so if I don't get the lingo right, forgive me. The door opens and they let 25 or so people into the shop. The wizard behind the counter picks an audience member and proceeds to find them a wand through trial and error. The individual is given the task of pointing a wand at an object and repeating a command. Take it from there as the first two tasks create unexpected results. The third wand causes music and a bright spotlight, so you know succeess has been met.

The Forbidden Journey was not operating this morning due to technical difficulties. I had been on it twice yesterday so I wasn't about to stand in a line for who knows how long. As the general public started to arrive shortly after 9:00, the ride still was not operational.

Here are a few shots I took:

Awesome pics and report! We'll be visiting Harry's world next summer.. my 14 year old is going to LOVE IT!!!

I am loving this TR already! I am not so much a HP fan but my MOM is a diehard fan! I am hoping next year to take her to see it! :goodvibes

I cant wait for the rest of your TR!

Let us know what you thought about the attractions and rides.

The Village is rather samll so there isn't a ton of things to see or do. The new ride is awesome with a mixture of technologies blended together. Some of Soaring, Spiderman, Mummy etc. A must see if you go. There a two other rides but they were there pre-WWoHP.

What do you think of your hotel?

Thanks for sharing! :wizard:

We enjoy the Royal Pacific. We find the Portofino too, well, gee, I can't find the words but not our style. The Hard Rock is too noisy and always freezing cold. The Royal pacific is just right. We will return there again.

Boardwalk, Boardwalk, we've arrived at Boardwalk. Not that the Lowes Royal Pacific wasn't nice. It is a great resort, we

had a great room and the stay was most enjoyable. We wouldn't hesitate to go back. But, it's good to be home.

We have lucked out with a nice room at the end of the building. Being the last room allows for the extra window in the

living room.

DSC01098.jpg

I love the size of this balcony. It should be great for watching a storm roll through (in the evening, of course).

DSC01100.jpg

Being so close to the pool means my wireless router will reach. That means I can work by the pool instead of being

confined to our villa.

DSC01101.jpg

And with this location, I suspect that we'll have a good view of the tops of Illuminations Fireworks as well as

Fantasmic.

Great room Daddio! :thumbsup2 Is it a one bedroom or 2 bedroom? Do you mind sharing the villa number? :flower3:

I am hiding the HP pics as my kids want to go there. :rotfl2: I don't. ;)

Thanks for all of the pictures! It looks just lovely in Florida right now. Oh to be there myself . . . :cloud9:

It is a one bedroom, one on each of five floors with numbers ending in 26.

Great pictures. We will be there at the end of next month in a 1br. Just wondering, is this a standard view room or preferred? As of right now we have a preferred and are on the wl for a bw view but I certainly would be satisfied with this great view! Maybe you already said, but what floor are you on? Thanks for sharing and enjoy the remainder of your vacation.

Did I mention that we checked in at 11:00 AM and our room was ready? BONUS. We called for our Owners Lockers, did the unpacking thing and went down to the bakery to get some sandwiches for lunch.

Our good freinds, Pam and Tom, were arriving from Chigago so we stuck around waiting for them to call. Tom has just gone through some unexpected surgery but is no way going to miss the trip to Disney. Once the call came in, we headed over to Saratoga Springs to meet up and do a quick visit to Target for some supplies.

Tom has to take it REALLY easy so after Target, we drop them off at their resort and head back to our room for a few hours. Dinner was just the two of us at House of Blues. They make marvelous ribs. Back to the room early so we don't miss Big Brother.

Thursday, September 10, 2010. Up early and of to Hollywood Studios for rope drop. DW loves Toy Story so you can guess which ride we're headed for. The early morning walk is nice.

We're able to be the first in one of the turnstiles with only 20 minutes to wait for park opening.

Nobody in front of us here:

What an anxious bunch:

I have figured out how to be the first one at the Fast Pass machines. That way, you get a fast pass to use later and a quick ride with no wait. I didn't do too well against the crowd but our individual scores were close:

Next ride, Rockin Roller Coaster:

Followed by Tower of Terror. Look, only a 13 minute wait:

Oh oh! I don't like the looks of these guys. It's broken:

Great TR Daddio!

Don't want to miss Big Brother? That's the perfect reason why a DVR would be awesome in DVC villas!

Great Pics! Keep them coming!
