Live from Disney! (with pics)

I sure hope you guys are feeling better so that you can enjoy your last few days of your trip. Again...thank you so much for the time and effort you both put into this trip report. You two are self-less people who think of others before yourselves. Rarely see that!

21 DAYS?!?? YOu will look back at this and say..."Thank g-d we did that!!" And yes you will be taking your little ones down with you (when the time comes) because you'll want to experience it through their eyes...that's the best!! Even better than ice cream!! Only difference is that you'll be taking a heck of a lot more pictures!!!

Wow, Amazing is all I can say about your trip report. I just got home from working all night and could not sleep until I read the whole thing. You made me feel as though I was there with you guys. Have a great time for the rest of your trip and a safe trip home. Lucy

This thread is amazing!! Thanks so much for allowing us to be a part of your experience. It keeps us going until our own trips arrive. A cruise may appear as part of our next itinerary :rolleyes1 I wonder if my family would notice! Enjoy the rest of your trip!! :teeth:

Yes--I am a lurker--been following your TR the whole time. Awesome, Cass and Rob!!!! So sorry you both ended up getting sick--my DH gets sick on just about every vacation we take  . Hope the last days of your trip are just as magical as the last two weeks :goodvibes!!!!

Hi Cass and Rob, hope you guys are starting to get better! I really enjoy reading about your trip, thank you so much for bringing all along so to speak to enjoy your travels! Feel better soon, and thanks again! :goodvibes

Ok - I have been reading this whole thread every day but have yet to post! I feel like I am tagging along on your vc - thank you so much for all of the time and effort you've put in to make us feel like we are right there with you! You both seem like very special people... :goodvibes

Cass - please feel better - in your last set of pics you could tell you were worn out! Sending pixie dust from Texas (that's a very special kind of pixie dust ;) ) for good anti bodies and renewed strength.

Enjoy the WL - it is an awesome resort!!!

Cass & Rob. I have lurked and read and read and lurked. I just wanted to say....great job. It sounds like you have had a great trip even if you have gotten a bit sick. Best wishes for your plans to start a family, but don't be surprised when you have a little toddler and you look at him or her and think....I can't WAIT to show him the magic of WDW....we have to take him/her NOW! : ) It is so much fun to share the magic with a little one. We take our grandbabies now! Best of luck and enjoy your last few days.

Just wanted to put in my thanks for a great trip report! Disney should refund the cost of your vacation in exchange for all the great public relations you have given them!

That's all I can say about the great TR. As a fellow Canuck (only 2 hours east of Calgary) I am so glad to here you are having such a great time.
And just to let you know, I got inspired reading your cruise reports that I just booked a 7 night western for Nov, 2006  :cheer2: :Pinkbounc
I can't believe I did that but I can't wait to go. We are also flying WJ (direct) in Feb for our 3rd trip. :goodvibes Hope you are both feeling better and enjoy the rest of your trip. Safe travels home to Canada.
BTW...Just in case you are Flames fans, they lost their last 2 games and are sadly in last place standings in the west.

Good day fellow DISers!
I am filling in for Cass as she is not feeling up to snuff today and had a fever for most of the evening. She has not had her voice all day which is very unusual for her and she now appreciates how I feel when I lose my voice every time I’m sick.

With DST kicking in today, our late checkout was a bonus for us to get some extra sleep. Cass enjoyed having the robe for her in the room, however after 45min of discussion with the RPR Concierge staff, Star Service, and eventually the Front Desk; I found out that the robe is $75 and is not sold anywhere’s at the hotel, so essentially you have to take the robe in your room and you’d be eventually charged. Unfortunately, the robe we got delivered to the room had a hole in the back of it and after I told Cass that she decided she didn’t want the robe after all.

Being used to DCL Topsider Breakfasts sure kills the budget when you get back, as the fruit plate ($13) I ordered with a coffee ($7) plus tax and 20% gratuity; came to just over $28. As we were checking out, we paid cash ($30); making it one of the most expensive fruit plates I have ever eaten. Cass was very ingenious in making me a fruit salad by using the excess cream for my coffee and putting all the berries (well, most of the berries as she ate the four pieces of raspberries) into the coffee pot that is in the room to use as a bowl. As you can see, I was still thrilled to have fresh fruit no matter how expensive it was. Though it makes you wonder that at those prices, we certainly ate the value of the cruise.

After our 12:30 checkout at RPR we made our way over to Wilderness Lodge, with Cass being my trusty Navigator, Camera-woman, and Videographer.

day19-4.jpg

With a standard room, you have two queen size beds which to Cass’ delight means six pillows, enough for any woman to be happy with!

day19-5.jpg

If you plan on staying for any length of time, you have to have the standard resort mug for a low price of $11.99. Heck, I think I drank that in Diet Coke today already if we had to pay for the refills we’ve had.

day19-6.jpg

We’ve had two meals today and of course, they consisted of chicken strips in both meals and Cass had a hot dog at lunch in conjunction with some of my strips. It’s a good thing I love her, those strips are darn tasty!
We went and checked out the shops after we ate and Cass took this picture of me checking out the price on the statue. We already have one which is now currently residing on her computer desk if I remember correctly. This one is HUGE compared to the one we have and as we love the WL I might consider getting it to be a centre piece on our home theatre system; though it is $90.

day19-7.jpg

Of course, we had to have desert so on the way back to our room we picked up some Mickey Ice Cream sandwiches together. Unfortunately Cass was feeling quite ill after getting some food in her and couldn’t finish all her ice cream sandwich; she asked if I wanted the rest of hers but as I was still eating mine, I said “not exactly right now” and she was about to throw it away but I quickly stopped her, there’s no sense wasting a perfectly good ice cream sandwich so I quickly ate the rest of mine and ate hers slowly.

day19-8.jpg

Cass rested for most of the afternoon as she had a wicked fever and we watched Ghost together. We missed our Chef Mickey PS as Cass was just too ill to go, so we just had our chicken strips and some vegetable soup for supper. She didn’t enjoy the soup as much as it has no potatoes in it; I loved it though regardless; food’s food ya know! I was just plain hungry. Darn cruise, you starve after you get back.

Cass felt up to a bit more activity after the rest and the Tylenol kicked in to break her fever a bit, so we went outside at 9pm to catch a bit of the fireworks from Hallowishes and the Electrical Water Pageant.

day19-9.jpg

After that, we came back to the room and she went to check out the hot tub while I write this report.
Upon her return 15min later, she quietly said that it was a good thing that I didn’t go as the temperature of both tubs were terrible, one was cold and the other was luke warm; I would have froze.

Well, our itinerary for tomorrow is PS for Whispering Canyon at 10am and then MNSSHP in the evening; but really everything is tentative depending on how she feels. I am way healthier today than I was yesterday and have a bit of a cough though no where near as sick as her; nor was I last week as sick as she is now. Tuesday is scheduled to be a day at Typhoon Lagoon and the evening at Pleasure Island. Wednesday is our last Downtown Disney day with breakfast at the Rainforest Café if we can swing it.
With that all said, I bid you all a good night and magic dreams!

Hope everyone is better soon! Hugs to you both. :grouphug:

Keep on posting. This is GREAT!
