Live from BLT!

Posting this from my balcony on the 7th floor...sitting here with a cup of tea watching the blue line boat dock and pick up passengers at the marina..

Fantastic lake view.We checked in Monday at 2pm..room was ready and my requests were sorta met..I asked for even numbered room close to walkway..well we got even numbered and we are the second to last room on the outer C..but it's a short walk to the elevators and 2 floors down to the walkway!

Iam really happy with the view.LOVE watching the boats and can see the con temp pool and part of the monorail..we can see the epoch ball in the distance and the wilderness lodge roof tops!

Last night we watched illuminations from our balcony and then the electric water pageant ...it really is the best dvc view I have had yet!

We are in a 1 bed and it too is amazing...LOVE the big windows!!
I can see though the wear and tear that other people have mentioned..and although it doesn't put me off the resort aim surprised to see so much in a resort so new!

Tuesday night we got the boat over to fort wilderness for hoop de doo...fantastic show and a first for us..then the boat back..so quick and easy..straight up to the lounge just as wishes was starting..what can I say...it was incredible and a GREAT perk for this resort!


So far I would say we are loving it here..it nice to be immersed in disney at this resort..with the sights and sounds of the magic surrounding you 24 hours a day...we also think it has some of the best shops on property..I love how the arcade..quick service..and shops are all right there as you walk through the walkway..KIds are at the arcade as we speak!..DS thinks it's the best on property!

We tried out the pool yesterday but it was too crowded so we hot footed it over to the con temp pool which was not busy at all...hopefully we will try out the blt pool tomorrow now.


The parks are now empty!!!...Well MK was yesterday anyway!...everything was a walk on..even space at 12pm..just walked on...

Sun is setting now as I sit on my lovely balcony..listening to the waves lap beneath me....tonight we are just going to chill at the resort...maybe go up to the lounge for cocktails a bit later on..

Lol...don't worry..this time next week I will be sitting at home reading the live reports and feeling just as jealous!..

Just back from the lounge..dh and I went up about 8.30pm..had a lovely pinacolava and just enjoyed relaxing on the comfy sofas inside. Went outside to the ledge for the fireworks...unfortunately the music was not piped through tonight, which did spoil it slightly...but wishes was still amazing from up there!

Sat on balcony again now in my pj,s watching the electric water pageant at wilderness lodge..it should come around here about 10.10 pm.

Hope the music is working in the lounge tomorrow..it's my ds,s 18th birthday and we are planning dinner at kona cafe followed by wishes from top of the world!....tomorrow morning we are off to sea world...ds,s choice...then blizzard beach for a couple of hours in the afternoon...again ds,s choice!

Iam here again...sitting with iPad on the balcony...it's looking like it's going to be a scorcher today....not a cloud in the sky and the lake it very still...not much activity going on yet...noonE at the boat dock...just a few workers milling around.

Is your 1 bedroom a lake view? If so can you give a room number or general area. We are staying in a Lake view in Oct and would like to get some ideas about room numbers with great views.

Yes we are a one bed lake view..room 7742. I really wanted to be on the outside of the c not inside facing blot pool and other rooms so I requested even numbered room. I also requested close to the walkway as I didn't,t want to be too high up and too far from the contemporary.
Iam happy with the room and location...7th floor is just about right for me..not too high scared of heights

Today we got to sea world at 9and left at 12....it is REALLY hot today...spent sometime in community hall making bead bracelets with dd and ds dd and dh are now playing shuffleboard while I chill in the room. Looking forward to being able to just hop on the monorail to dinner at kona tonight...probably head over about 5.30to the poly for a drink and look around before our meal.

Have fun. We stayed on the walkway level (5th floor) and it was great. Can't wait to go back to our home resort. We're going to AK in December for the first time so it should be fun.

Thanks for the post - sounds great and I too am very jealous. We will be in WDW this coming October at AKV. We plan to book BLT soon, but we are in points saving mode as we have borrowed our last two trips, so BLT was a little out of our range this time around.

Sounds like so much fun! We just got back about a month ago and just hearing your stories is making me miss it all over again.

It's been our last full day today.....flying back tomorrow evening. Sitting on my balcony again..can you tell I love my balcony..lol!....

This morning we were up by 7.30 and at DHS by 9.15am....I pulled a toy story fast pass at 9.20am with a return time of 11.10am...not too bad!

We met up with some friends who are over from wales and we rode tot watched muppets 3d ...played in the HISTK playround...rode toy story ..had lunch at ABC place. Then watched beauty and the beast before getting the bus back to BLT for about 2pm....
BOY IT WAS HOT!!!!!!!...there was not a cloud in the sky when we left DHS!

I hung out at community hall with dd for a little while...she made some pins for a dollar each and more beads

Just relaxing at the room now after packing...dh and dd down at the con temp pool...they much prefer it to the Blt pool..dh thinks the blt pool is too crowded.

Think we are just going to eat at contempt cafe tonight and watch illuminations and the water pat gent from the balcony.

Last night we had dinner at kona and then walked into MK at about 8.45we lucked out and got one of the last Kerb side seats for the parade...right by exposition hall...MSEP was wonderful but I think I still prefer spectro.
Quick walk back to blt after parade and straight up to the lounge at 9.45...watched wishes together on my sons 18th birthday....amazing..except again no music pumped in which was disappointing..hope they get this fixed.

Well after 2 weeks of fun at bcv hard rock and now blt it is time to return home and start planning next years trip!
I have enjoyed blt greatly..it is a fantastic resort...very upscale..amazing lounge..fireworks..all the wonderful shops of con temp close by...the magic kingdom on the doorstep..what else can I say!!

Can,t think of many down sides really..yes there is some wear and tear...yes the elevators can have waits...yes there are no locks..but this did not really bother us and we most certaintly be back in the future..if we can get in at 7months of course. I think lake view is the one for me..sooooooo relaxing.
