I'm here!
It's been a little overwhelming this morning. I got here about quarter to six and they weren't letting anyone check in until 6am. That was the longest 15 minutes of my life! I was the second person to check in - fellow DISer Punta Gorda Bob was the first. They had a greeter in the lobby of CR to keep us all organized and check in went very smoothly. I have a room on the 8th floor facing the marina. Since I can see Spaceship Earth and the Swan/Dolphin, I imagine I'll see some of the Epcot fireworks.
On to the practical . . .first, you have to use a room key to access the building. There's no mention on the sign by the door of it only being during overnight hours like the other DVC resorts connected to deluxe resorts. It simply says you must use your room key to open the door. I'll post back later if I find that it's open during the day.
There isn't a ton of closet space in the one bedroom. As predicted, the closet by the front door is pretty much full of things like a high chair and pack n play, so you could hang some shirts or jackets, but not much else.
The photos of the model one bedroom were pretty much spot on. I really like the layout of the bath off the bedroom, especially the shower. The flat screen TV's are really nice after being used to the old Sonys in some of the older DVC resorts. The decor does remind me of the new CR rooms, but with a twist. I really like the pull out pantry in the kitchen.
The parking lot was completely empty when I got here this morning (the lot in front of BLT, that is), so I'm hoping parking won't be a huge issue as the tower fills up. I'll report back on that later once most of the guests are here. Since I got a really close space, I'll probably leave the car there for the duration.
That's all for now. I'm all unpacked and preparing for my first walk across the sky bridge.

I'm looking forward to hearing all of your updates. Congrats!!

This isn't TOO much longer to wait, but sometimes it sure feels that way.
