We arrived last Sunday and have had a great time despite the temps. Until today, it was sunny and bright. On Wednesday morning, it was so cold and windy that Dunes Cove pool was closed!
It had opened again by the time we returned from lunch.
We have a 2 BR lockoff. All three TVs are flatscreen but armoires are the same. As someone else posted, the remotes are truly the pits. Very slow and sometimes don't respond without multiple tries. I had forgotten that the pattern on the banquette had been changed. The pattern on the living room couch is completely different now, too. I was never a fan of the old pattern so this is a very nice change in my opinion.
iHomes in both BRs are a nice new touch as well.
We haven't stayed at BCV since March so I was pleasantly surprised to see how much the trees had grown. It is noticeable to me both along the edge of the parking lot and at the exit by Ariel.
Our second BR which is a lockoff doesn't have a DVD player....didn't they use to have those in studios? I called housekeeping and they told me no.
CMs have been wonderful as always. Marie and Vanessa in the Marketplace are as friendly as ever. There is another wonderful lady there who remembers how I like my yogurt parfaits...I need to learn her name. Mark is funny and helpful there as well. I had a chance to visit with Teena the Terrific on Monday and actually saw Art (not in uniform of course) one morning but didn't want to interrupt his retirement. It was fun to see the other CMs light up when they saw him. He must have been as friendly to all of them as he was to guests.
Anyone running in the next two days, good luck.
There is a chance of sleet tomorrow!
