Well, it's PAST the halfway mark of our vacation... but nothing lasts forever except memories.. sigh... okay okay - on with it! Here's what I love about the suite! I'm lying in bed in the Master bedroom, and my computer clicking doesn't disturb my DD who is sleeping in the living room... yes, I did say sleeping - we're letting her have a little more shut-eye since we will be up late again tonight for Illuminations. Last night we saw Fantasmic, and it was awesome of course.. and the plan was to go to EMH at the MK, but we were just too pooped!
So I'm going to brew some coffee (which is good by the way) in the coffee maker here in the suite (I love not having to schlep to the food court to get my morning fix of caffeine! I don't even have to get dressed...) and hang out a little longer. Now, for some people, like me, coffee is a serious topic, so here is some more detail about the suite that is related to coffee:
The coffee maker is very small - it says 5 cups on the carafe, but if you fill it to that point, it will brew only 2 normal size mugs of coffee. AND if you are like me and like it a little stronger than water, you need to fill it to the 2 cup mark, and know that for one filter you will get ONE mug of coffee. (I brought a real mug from home since I don't like drinking fromn plastic or styrofoam - this IS still a 'value resort' after all!) That said, the mini-maker with the mini-filter makes a GREAT (one) cup of coffee. So if you have two coffee drinking adults, you need to do this twice, and that means you need to have two filters available. Now, when we checked in, there were two regular and one decafe. Perect! But after the first day, Mousekeeping did not replace these, unless I called the desk and requested. When I did that, they promptly brought us a whole bunch of filters, and we have not run out yet, so no complaints. Now, about the milk situation (Hey, non-coffee people can just move on - this is important!

) The suite comes equiped with "coffee condiments" like you get in any hotel, including the powdered "creamer". I would never adulterate my coffee with this substance, so the first day I politely asked the attendant at the drink island in the food court if he could give me some actual MILK to take back to the suite for our coffee. He graciously offered me a little carton of milk. That lasted a few days, and when I asked again, the woman I asked said, no, you need to buy the milk. That really would not have been such a tragedy, but when I mentioned that a gentleman had given me some milk just a couple of days ago, the person offered to confirm with a higher ranking drink island worker, who indeed said it would be fine to give me some milk. Thanks!! So coffee-wise - we're all set in the suite.!!! YAY!!!
I will post a review of the suite in all it's detail when I get back.. just couldn't resist checking in with the thread again this morning.
Have a Disney Day everyone! I know I will!!!
