Arrived at 11:00 am. Reasonably busy at the front desk. Villa was ready. We did on-line check-in so very quick. We are in on the tenth floor in a one bedroom Bay Lake view villa that also has a great view of the MK. Looking forward to seeing how Wishes looks from our balcony.

The views from the tenth floor are spectacular. The imagineers did a great job of opening up the resort so you can enjoy those views. Interior spaces are a very modern look that is probably very well done if you like that look. I find it a bit cold, but that is only my personal preference.

Walked over to MK for lunch at Casey's and a quick stroll around the park. Took the monorail back to look in the shops. Just like at Kidani Village with the AKV pins, all of the BLT pins were sold out the very first day. Can't imagine why Disney is passing up the easy profits. Glad we bought the four pack in December.

Dinner tonight at the California Grill.

Thanks for the report, Jim. We just left this morning and am now sitting at MCO. :(

Have a great stay - enjoy Wishes!! :)

:)Looking forward to more of your TR. Thanks for sharing and have a great time!

Wow - it seems that many lake view rooms also have a view of the MK. I will be at BLT for my ## birthday in May so I can't wait to read more.

We will be at BLT in May and I can't wait! It is a trip for just my DH and I and the kids are quite jealous!

I can't wait to hear more!

Enjoy your stay. We are flying out tomorrow afternoon ;( we have enjoyed our stay at BWV. Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip

Dinner last night was great as usual. The CG is a business casual dress restaurant but we noticed the vast majority of the guests were not. We had the squash soup, California roll and pork tenderloin. Portions seem to be smaller, which is fine with us. I think they may be doing that to reduce waste and avoid price increases. The desserts were fabulous. You could share one or even have one for yourself without feeling too full. I had the banana and caramel. Nancy the warm molten chocolate cake. As always the views and the service were top notch. Jenny was our server and very attentive.

Our balcony is right on the shore line. You have the expanse of the lake outside the LR. Go out on the balcony and look left at SM and the castle.

The fireworks were stunning! The wind was coming out of the south west so the smoke was not a problem. It was a bit hard to hear the music at times.

Right now I am watching the green monorail being brought onto the main line track.

More about BLT. The walkway is on the fifth floor of BLT and the fourth floor of the CR. Got that backward yesterday. It is a secure (key-card required) covered, open air walkway and is next to the south elevator bank in BLT. It really does not matter which elevator bank you use. All BLT exterior doors appear to be key card secured 24 hours.

More later.

This morning started with a dead (and I mean really dead) battery (1.5 year old car with 14k miles!). So instead of AK we walked over to MK leaving the car problem for later.

This afternoon I went to get assistance for the car. Valet parking said security would jump start the car. They called and then said to wait by the car with hood up. While I was waiting a very kind fellow member asked if I needed assistance and jump started the car for me. A profound thank you!!!!!!!!!!! Decided to go to the nearest dealership to have it checked out. According to them everything is fine. We shall see.

By the way the parking in front of BLT is quite convenient and there is a whole row of H/C parking. No need for valet, although we did have bell services handle our luggage over at the CR. It would actually be a longer walk from BLT to valet then to parking.

But got back in time for our ADR at Whispering Canyon at WL. We enjoy this off beat restaurant. Not as crowded as usual.

The fireworks this evening were just as spectacular and with less wind we could hear the music fairly well.

Fog this morning, so thick when we got up that we could not see past the balcony railing. No lake, no MK, no tennis courts, nothing! Temperatures about normal but with the fog it feels cooler and very damp.

Off to Epcot via monorail.

Epcot was very quiet today. Mid-morning Soarin had about a 20 minute wait. Not much of a wait for anything else. After 10 am the weather started to turn really nice. By lunch it was about as perfect as one could ask for! We strolled around a nearly empty World showcase and enjoyed a quiet lunch at Boulangerie Patisserie.

The monorail ride was great fun, no crowds and plenty of senior CMs (could see their service pins). No more rides up front with the driver, at least for now.

Nancy wanted to rest so I took a boat to FW and walked the back path to WL and boated back to BLT.

Off to 'Ohana for dinner tonight.

Sounds like a great time to visit with no lines. :thumbsup2 Thanks for the updates and keep them coming.
