Well, last day, we woke at about 8.30, the boys a little later. We got all our stuff packed (well what we had space for!) We took one suitcase with clothes, and one big empty bag. These were both filled up and we had loads left still to pack. We went down to breakfast a while after 9am. At the photo point was Goofy, who we hadn't yet met, so we stopped, I ran back to the room to get the autograph book, got their photos done & his autograph. We then went on to breakfast. Got to the Parkside Diner, but were told it was full, and had to go the Manhattan Restaurant. Well, we were pretty impressed with that. It's really nice in there, and when we left they were again seating people in PSD, so we obviously timed it right!

Minnie was now at the photo point. DP and the boys went up the the room to get ready for the day, while I stopped off at the boutique and bought a suitcase. I looked at the raincoats, thinking they were really nice, but unfortunately only had them in an XL. I came out of the shop, and Mickey was at the photo point. We went back, packed the rest of our bits and took them down to reception. Came out of the hotel to find that, yes, in true Disney form our wishes had been granted. There was rain. It wasn't too heavy, but by the time we got to the studios it was pelting down, so off I went to look for a raincoat (I don't do yellow ponchos!), I think I found one on the 2nd shop we tried, but I had to settle for XL. We went through studio1 and saw the good morning WDS parade, then DP ushered us into the World of Animation. We really enjoyed it, and DP realised that we should have done more shows. We went to Crush, and found it had a 90min queue, so went on towards Studio Tram tour, saw Emile from Ratatoiulle on the way, so stopped, then continued. Got chatting to some others on the tram, then after headed back towards Crush, it now had a 75mins queue.

After that we went back to the park, had lunch at Caseys Corner, then went to find some characters. Because of the rain there were none at the 'Winnie the Pooh stage', but then I spyed a big group in the castle. There was a queue for Alice and The Mad Hatter. Once we were about half way downthe queue, one of the security guys came over and told us all that they would be going in 5mins, but Peter Pan and Wendy would be coming along. They went when we were 2 people away, but it was really good seeing Peter & Wendy. It was good too, to actually talk to the characters. Then we went off and saw Hercules and Esmerelda. This was one of the scrum type meets, but we managed to get in there.

We went on a couple of other rides, and thought we'd done everything, but ds1 was upset that he hadn't seen Daisy, so a look at the schedule told me that she would be in WDS in 15mins time, so a dash as quick as DPs leg would take him over to the studios, saw Daisy, then went to Scrooge McDuck. ds1 was being pushed around by other children, and he was about to see Scrooge, but a boy pushed him out of the way, so he threw a bit of a strop, stamping his feet etc. Once Scrooge had finsihed with the other boy, he turned to ds1, stamped his feet, waved his arms about, and spent a bit of time getting photos for him & signing his book. Back to Crush. Queue now 110mins. Told ds1 that hopefully next time we go, they'll have an FP for it. (ANybody know why there's not one?:confused3 )

Went back to the Park for the FP time for DP & ds1s ride on BTM, yes it was working this time! It was now about 4.30pm, so we decided to go to DLH for a drink before going to the train. OMG. It's a different world! It's beautiful in there, we are definately saving the money for next time and we'll be staying there. Went up to the bar and had a drink, the waiter gave the boys some little gifts. Then we left, after visiting the gorgeous toilet that is twice the size of my bathroom! We headed back down and DP decided that it was probably quicker to go out the front entrance of the hotel, and get to the station through the car park. Well wrong choice there. We didn't fancy an almost vertical climb up the banks around the car park to the station, so after enjoying the view (Maseratis, Subarus...) we tried to sneak back into the hotel and get across the lobby as fast as we could. Unfortunately the security guy saw us, and was coming towards us, so we scooted out as quick as we could. How embarrassing! Must remember not to listen to dp when he decides to show the way.:rolleyes1 !

Got to the station, picked up our baggage, and managed to squeeze in the queue for check in. It was ages before they opened it, and eventually we got through. Going through baggage, however was not good, and set dp up for a bad jurney home. The bags went through OK, the boys and I went thrugh OK, but DP beeped as he wetn through. He double checked his pockets were empty, still beeped, took off his coat, still beeped, took off his belt, he explained that he has metal bars and pins in his leg, holding the gap in his bone together, showed her the hole in his leg, and the scar running up from ankle to knee, but she still made him take off his belt, he still beeped, she had him up against the wall and searched him, no wand first, no quick pat down, so he was really embarrassed and angry by this point. Of course he still beeped when he wetn through, and by this point EVERYONE is looking. She called someone over, and I really thought they were going to take him off to strip search him. After some deliberation adn DP again showing them his leg, they eventually decided to let him through. Fortunately we had such a great time, that once we were hom and it was forgotten about, only the great memories are there!

I'm going to try a link to my photos! Here goes...http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/6221028

Just one thing to add, that I forgot to put in my post. I have to say that I felt really guilty that my French goes no further than merci, sil vous plait, bonjour, au revoiur. Everyone speaks English, and the majority are fantastic at it, can hardly tell they're not English themselves until they swap to a different language! Even the guests - Spanish, Greek, Dutch, Swedish... were all speaking English perfectly to the CMs.

Looking at photos just reminded me of another funny thing. While having their photo taken with Emile, DP said to the boys 'say cheese'. Emile rubbed his belly.

I stood there cracking up and no-one else understood what was so funny!:rotfl2: :lmao:

Glad you had a lovely trip, thanks for sharing. :goodvibes

Glad you had a wonderful time and inspite of DP's experience you sound a half full rather than a half empty sort of person.

Thank you for sharing it has been a pleasure :goodvibes
