Hey you two! I am so sorry that I've not been around much... I have been working a lot to keep at least a stride ahead of my kids -- Never underestimate the power of 36 Santa-crazed five year olds! I pretend I am practicing Darwinism a week before Christmas, is that normal? Survival of the fittest -- only the strong survive!

I think I am doing the same thing. Eat what I want until New Year's Day, then it all starts over again and this year is going to be different. I know it sounds cliche, but really... I would love to start a cheat free challenge with myself on January 1st, then see if I can walk to Disney World during the course of the next year or something else fun like that.

How have your weeks been going? I hope that I don't sound like a slacker buddy or something!

I will try to check in as often as I can, but I am leaving for WDW on Saturday morning. :o)

If I don't talk to you before then, have a Merry, Merry Christmas, and let the 2006 resolutions begin!

One more resolution: In 2006, I promise to be a better buddy!

Sorry I've been MIA. My computer crashed last week and I just now got it back :guilty:

I see that Ashley is in WDW :cool1: (I was supposed to be but it didn't work out with a family member's work schedule :rolleyes: )

We plan on going in March though :flower:

I've been eating awful and doing no exercising but that is ending after the 1st of the year :Pinkbounc

Hope to be a better buddy and work with both of you so that we can all reach our goals in the New Year :cheer2:
 
Oh Ashley is in WDW. We will be there this time next week!!!

Are you excited to get started?? I gained 2 lbs over Christmas but lost them this week. I am down 9 lbs from the start of WW and I love it. I found these great Chocolate muffins for breakfast and they are only 3 points. We even went to Panera last night and it was only 6 points a piece. I am hoping with all the walking we will do in Disney that I won't gain any.

Well, I hope you have a happy New Year and a great start to 2006!! Here's to a healthier lifestyle!!

I won't be in WDW for the marathon :sad2: as I went down to injury a couple months ago and have not been able to continue my training. After the 1st of the year I am planning a DR visit to see if something can be done. I really need to get back at it. I want to run in 2007 :goodvibes

We will be going to WDW in March though :teeth: Or that is the plan anyway (our last 2 trips have cancelled for one reason or another).

Monday I am back to work after a week off and back on some sort of plan as I've gained quite a bit over the holiday season. I am going to use my planned March trip as an incentive to kick these horrible eating and lack of exercise habits that I have gained.

I'm sick :guilty: And being a baby about it. We leave for Disney on Thursday and I am sitting here at work and the room is bobbing up and down. I am getting seasick.

So far I am down 11.5 on WW. I am just hoping to make it through our vacation without gaining too much. I am just so tired and not looking forward to the plane ride.

Good for you starting SBD!!! Keep up the good work and check-in often.
 
Hey Buddies! Sorry about the long disappearance! I was in WDW, then I had a presentation at school and kids at school and boyfriend's family in town, and yada yada yada and it all ended with me being sick! Now, here I am rambling online because somewhere over the course of the weekend I lost my voice! ARGH! I want summer! Anyway...

How are we all doing on our goals?! I just came up with a new one...

Tonight the plan goes into action for the Hotter than Corned Beef and Cabbage for St. Paddy's Day Challenge for myself! Okay, well... St. Paddy's Day is my birthday and that weekend I have a formal event in Chicago, so it's time to trim up and get serious. I could probably find a sexier name for it than that... What should my goals be? How will I stay accountable?! I have MISSED my buddies!!!

I have found a tremendous and yet horrible plan, courtesy of Kashi... I hate their oatmeal. I have two boxes of it. Everyday, I bring it for lunch. Everyday I sit at lunch and chat not even eating the oatmeal, just kind of stirring it around because YUCK! I don't like it! I suppose it's not healthy to skip meals, but is it really skipping if it is simply avoidance of taste!? Hmm... We'll see what the scale says when I weigh it all out. That's the other thing, I need to get to the gym! I wish I could teleport.

That's all for now, time to head home and curl up and make a plan!

Wow it is great to see that you are both back. How was both of your trips to the world????? I am supposed to go in March but now it is looking :confused3 so we may have to put it off until June. I am going to get in a trip before my AP expires in July one way or another :rotfl2:

Well I've been following SBD and have had good days and bad ones. Yesterday was a bad one and this morning didn't start much better. I hit a deer last night and comfort food is on the menu :sad1:

I reinjured my hip in a fall on Monday so a visit to a DR and exrays have resulted in a PT and Sports Orthopedic apts for the next couple weeks. My sacrum is out of place and I am having sciatica issues :sad1:

Sorry this post is such a downer. Will try to be in better spirits soon.

Awww Minnie, Cheer up!!! Things will get better and you are already on the right track!!

Our trip was awesome. Kevin ran the 1/2 and placed in the top 5000!! I am so proud of him and he is talking about going back and doing it again. We had a ton of fun and ate more food than I care to think about. I will be posting a dining report later. We met up with some old friends and it was just about the perfect vacation. I only gained about 4 lbs and will be back on WW this weekend. Saturday we are celebrating our anniversary a bit early (the 24th) so that we can catch Narnia before they take it out of theaters. We are going to that and then Olive Garden, which I am pretty sure will be about 1000 points! ::yes::

Ashley, you sound like you are off to a great start. And can I give you a bit of advice? Stop eating the Kashi. In the long run it won't help because you hate it so much. Then you will probably ending up eating something not so good for you! I eat the Kashi cereal and love it. Kinda sweet and cinnamonnie (I know it's not a word :) )
And I know you can trim down before your big event. We are here to help you!! What have you eaten today? How much water have you drank? This month is going to be tough for me on WW because I stopped taking the pill and my hormones are a bit out of wack :crazy2:

Alright, Ladies, I suck at this getting started thing.

This weekend was another hoop-de-do, and not of the Disney Review Style. I am still pretty sick, can't eat much of anything and zonkered all out of energy. Top it all of with breaking up with my boyfriend and you've got a real puddle on your hands, and I'm not afraid to admit it.

As my mom and I wandered the grocery store this morning, though, I did my best and only picked out healthy stuff and Lean Pockets for lunch. Not too bad, I don't think. I think that I am going to start walking/running/training for something to keep my mind off of things and make myself better looking -- can't hurt anything, right?

The dining report was a lot of fun to read! Thanks for sharing it. It sounds like you are both doing quite well, and I'm just kind of being a downer here! Sorry!

Anyway, that's my quick update. I am going to figure life out, plan my week in Kindergarten, and keep on going. I will check back soon to see what you've been up to!

Ashley don't feel too bad. You are sick and it's not fair to your body for you to be dieting.

As far as I am concerned, I just ordered a pizza :)

WW starts tomorrow. I also signed up for the W.I.S.H. Discover Channel challenge and got a free 8-week trial membership to Balley's. I am going to look into a personal trainer tomorrow.

Can you tell me more about the WISH Discover Channel thing? I think I may be interested if I could possibly still sign up, but I need to buy a scale (or go to the health club?). It could be fun!

I just reread through our thread -- Minnie -- You must be in a lot of pain! My mom had sciatica troubles a few years ago, and it was not fun! How are you doing?

Alright, now I am cold and I am getting a 5:45 "get your butt outta bed" wake up call from a friend. Hopefully knowing that he is training for a triathlon guilts me into getting out of my cozy bed... (I bought a new bed this year, and it is like HEAVEN!)

Morning girls!!

Minnie, don't know much about it, haven't played on the site at all. BUT, I do know that we got an 8-week free membership to Balley's. I have a meeting there tonight, that I am going to try and NOT blow off. I am looking into some personal training sessions.

Today is back on weight watchers. We went grocery shopping last night and did really good except for the peanut butter sundae cups. What can I say, bad week.

Ashley, thanks so much for your support. I am slowly working through things and to be honest, don't know how they will end. Not that it's good or bad for me.

Ok, well keep it up girls, lots of water today!

Here is what I will be eating

Breakfast- 2 eggs with lowfat cheddar cheese

Snack-orange

Lunch- hmm, I guess either soup or salad

Snack- Granola bar or rice cake

Dinner- Steak with mushrooms, onions and green beans on the side.

My goal today is lots of water, although I never accomplish it! Good luck today girls!

Ive read your dining (okay when's lunch :rotfl2: ) and loved that you stayed at my favorite resort (WL). I can't wait to go back. O'Hana's is our new favorite place and will be on our must do's on our next trip. We also enjoyed LeCleir but not their beer cheese soup (sorry yuck), I could taste the beer and I can't stand that but loved the pretzel bread!

BTW - Congrats to your hubbie on the marathon! I'm so sad I couldn't be there with you all this year!

Oh - could you give me the link to the discovery challenge?

Where are you girls??

Dh and I went to Balley's last night. Seemed nice. Kinda of in a bad area, but Dh says he will go with me. We are using our 8 week membership, but will probably sign up month to month. $149 down, $55 a month for 1 and $19 for the second. He said he will waive $50 off our first month and there is no contract.

We start tomorrow! :) I have been great with food this week (2 starbucks!), but I haven't been awful either. Hopefully this weekend will get me back on track.
