FYI - I booked the Holiday Inn Express via parksleepnfly.com. Unfortunately (my fault) I realized afterwords that it is NOT the HIE Airport site - actually one about 7 miles away. The rate was quite good though at approx $150 all in. I thought that was fine but then happened to be looking at the website for this hotel (compulsive planner that I am) and lo and behold, their airport shuttle does not start running until 7am. My flight is at 7:25 am so that was not so good. I called the hotel just to make sure, and sure enough there is only 1 person working so I could not get a ride - would have to take a taxi at my expense!!! :scared1: So, now I am on the phone to HIE to try and switch my reservation to the HIE Airport and she is telling me it is $179.99 plus tax (ouch) and the rate I had from the website according to her records is NOT park and fly and they would have charged me more when I got there to park each day ($20!!). Anyway, I cancelled the ressie (not sure if I will get my $18 deposit back - another part of the website) but at this point I am back to square one as I really don't want to pay $200+ to stay over in BUF. What a pain in the behind!!!! :headache:

A few weeks ago, we stayed at the Homewood Suites for $139USD, which included parking for up to 14 days. Howver, their website gives costing of up to $189USD.

Did you get a better price by phoning them? I am booked at 189, which is quite steep.. I am wondering if I call them it may be better, what is your experience?

Dutchs I hope you can get a place a good price! Nice to see you again.. haven't seen you around for a bit!

My parents have stayed at the Best Western previously, and were able to park n' fly, use their shuttle and they have a little breakfast included. Not sure as to the cost of parkn'fly, but thier rates are about $80/night. I stayed last December, and it's an okay hotel for a night or two.

We got the best price from the Hilton website. We did call, but the rates they offered on the phone were higher than the website.

If you go to the parksleepfly.com website there are several to choose from. Their best deal is $139 for the Millenium Hotel. I've used them twice and they are good.

I'm sorry I didn't see this post sooner. For future reference, if that happens, call the HI Express and talk to the manager and see if they can help you get to the airport earlier. I stayed there after a nightmare trip home from Disney and the staff bent over backwards to help me out. Really, the customer service there was the best I've ever gotten from any hotel.

Why don't you leave early in the morning from home and park at the airport?
The preferred long term lot is 50+tax weekly and the long term A lot is only $40+tax for a week.

I have pretty much decided this is what we will do. The main reason I wanted to stay over is that we would have to leave the house at about 3:30am for our 7:30 flight (drive is about 2 1/2 hrs) and I didn't want to wake my son up that early. But, DH is going to help get him in the car and then we can be off. I don't sleep well the night before Disney anyway, and spending the $$ is kinda bothering me so I think we'll just drive straight and see what happens.

I was on the park sleep & fly website this morning and saw econo lodge, $79 + tax + $4.99 transaction fee that came up to $95 and some change all in, this includes continental breakfast on the morning of the flight plus up to 14 days parking... not bad as i needed 9 days parking anyway...

Hope you have fun on your trip!

The first time we went to WDW we stayed at the HIE airport. It was in March. The area where we were told to park our car was not supervised, nor was it cleared when a major snowstorm hit Buffalo while we were away. I will never forget the van driver from HIE saying 'May the force be with us' as he gunned it through this *huge* pile of snow to get us to our car. We hoped the force was still with us after we got our car cleared off and we used his tracks to get our car out of that lot. Let's just say I was not impressed.
I don't sleep well the night before we go to WDW either, and neither do our kids so it ended up being of no value to do the stay, park n' fly thing. Our son is less inclined to sleep in a new bed...so being in the hotel was yet another excuse to stay up longer.
Ever since then we have used the coupon available on the BUF website for parking:
http://www.buffaloairport.com/airport_info/parking_coupon.asp
and we drive ourselves to the airport in time for our flight.
The airport parking lot at BUF can be busy, so make sure you allow sufficient time to look for a parking spot and take the (free) shuttle to the terminal in addition to checking in and going through security. All considered it's still significantly simpler than flying out of Pearson. Being that BUF is such a small airport, it's so easy when on your way back home to claim your bags, hop on the parking lot shuttle (they drop you off right near your car), put your bags in your car, pay for parking and drive home.
I hope you have a great trip!

we use Comfort Suites on Dick Road. Call the hotel directly and ask for their Park n Fly rate. Nice hotel. reasonable rates. 24 hour shuttle plus breakfast.

We also booked the Millenium Hotel for $139 and that included 15 days parking. It is right beside Walden Galleria and other stores for last minute items before we go and their shuttle starts early.
