Okay - I know we've discussed this before. I am taking my four nieces and nephews to Disney World and on the Disney Cruise in January (ages 6, 4, 4, 1). I am trying to come up with little surprises to keep it super special - I already have cruise baskets (from Shirley of course) which will be delivered to our room, mickey ears that I may buy in advance, matching character t-shirts for all of us - any other good ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Disney Dollars in Christmas stockings
There is a post on the budget board for a disney playset from amazon for @$6.00
Maybe join the postcard thread and have postcards sent
Perhaps you know someone who does a really good Mickey or DOnald imitation who can call them up.

That's all the thoughts I have.

fredms, did you get your tshirts through the Disney Store or somewhere else? And, if I may ask, who is Shirley? Sounds like someone we should know for Disney goodies. Thanks for your help.

Jeanne

I would suggest t-shirts that they can have the characters sign. My mom made t-shirts for our kids with the ports listed (they were all wrong since we were on the 9/27 cruise but that is ok - it is a story in itself). Anyway, we had the characters sign them instead of a book. That way they can wear the shirts to show all their friends. We actually missed the Princess signing but a CM took the shirts to be signed and they were returned to our stateroom. It is a great souvenir to share over and over.

Pirate paraphenalia for them to wear on the special pirate/tropical dinner night....

Guest of Honor Badges (you can find them in MGM at the 5&10). Cast members will call the kids by name if they see them.

Excellent help-
Sarangel - I am going to order the Guest of Honor Badges in advance, so I don't have to worry about it there.

scrapcreator - I may order them from Disney Store (they were recently on sale) or from some other websites that do similar designs. Shirley is awesome at making amazing gift baskets tailored to the recipient. Very special.

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

how about some things for castaway cay? my nephew(7) didnt want to go on the cruise until i agreed to buy him a pail and shovel for the sand. i don't know if it will be warm enough for the water, but you might get some floats and such,

Where can you get the Guest of Honor badges early?

One thing I did for my DD5 that she LOVED. I got one of those Italian Charm braceletts. I got one with a blue / red ship on it. I put it on her pillow one night so she could see it when we got back from the show. I told her Minnie must have brought it for her! We went to the shop on board and bought an Ariel charm to put on it, also.

She still tells everyone she got her bracelett from Minnie on the Disney ship.

It may be a little old for your younger ones, but the older one will love it.

how about getting pillowcases autographed? take plain ones (white) to guest services on the first day and they will be ready for pickup at the end of the cruise. we love ours!

Are they still autographing pillow cases?? I've read different responses. We leave on Saturday and I would love to get a pillow case autographed for my son. Do you just drop them off at guest services? Has anyone done this recently??

Thanks in advance!

You can get badges at the following place. I just ordered the Princess badge for DD but they also have Mickey Mouse.

Here is the link: http://laughingplacestore.com/SearchResults.asp?P=1

It cost approx. $12 with shipping but I have been told (via these boards) that they are having special right now.

Good luck!!
