Parents, please think carefully about taking your little ones on this ride! Even if they meet the height requirements, it may be too intense for them. I sat next to a dad and little guy maybe 4 or 5 who was absolutely petrified - even during the intro part. I said to dad maybe this wasn't a good idea, and he said his kid would be fine. Well, I never saw a child so scared in my life! He screamed and cried through the whole show. I wouldn't be surprised if he was scarred for life ;-(

Just because they have added Stitch doesn't mean the ride has really changed - it's just as scary and intense as the old Alien attraction!!! Please don't force your kids to ride something they are afraid of!!

Just my 2 cents - Lin

I took my DD5 on this, and while she was scared when the lights went out, she did not cry or scream. However, when we were finished she said that it was NOT fun and she didn't want to go on it again. I did not care for it, either.

We went last month with my DD6 & DS5. My daughter thought the whole thing was rather silly (she calls the Haunted Mansion the Silly Mansion and luckily my son had his hood of his jacket on so he missed the whole Stitch breathing on your neck thing. Otherwise he would of not been happy. I agree, it really is too intense for younger children. I am glad they raised the height requirement.

is it just like the alien ride with things poking at you in your seat?? if it is that is dissapointing i though being stich it would be a little calmer. my ds now 8 still talks about how scared he was on the alien ride when he was 5. if i told him it was just like that i dont think he would go on.

I think my 12 year old put it best... "that ride scares all the little kids and bores the pants off everyone else...what's the point?"

nygirl - yes, I didn't see much difference from the old alien ride. Perhaps even a bit grosser, unless you enjoy have "stitch" belch chili dog breath in your face?

I love the character Stitch, but this is the only ride at WDW that I hate!

In December during our stay, DH & I had a babysitter and, before our dinner, zipped over to catch a couple things including Stitch. We witnessed an absolutely terrified little girl about 4-years old screaming and squirming out of the seat and cowering in her mother's lap. I felt horrible for her and relieved that we opted to experience this ourselves rather than try it out on our 4-year old. He is extremely brave and cavalier about most things but I think he would have been genuinely frightened by Stitch

I'm so glad there are postings warning of this. I would not have thought anything about taking my DD5 on this but now I know to avoid it. She gets scared easily. MK is supposed to Magical, not scary.

Boy is sounds Like the Stitch ride is a big flop no matter how you look at it. However i hated the Alien ride too creepy for me but my husband loved it. Maybe becuase I creeped out so much. So i bet when we go again he will love the ride just to see me squrim. But if it is as boring as everyone says it is he may be sadly disappointed.

wow am i the only one that liked it? i thought it was fun, i enjoyed it a lot!..it wasnt boring at all. I wouldnt mind going on it again after i get off it  . :D

My four year-old son LOVED it and wound up doing it twice. In all honesty, DH and I weren't too impressed, but not because it was scary. We just thought they could have done more with it.

I guess the lesson here is to know your kids and what they will tolerate. And please, if they are petrified during the pre-show, go ahead and exit rather than force the poor little things to sit through the entire thing!

My 4 year old daughter loved it. She really likes Lilo and Stitch though. I wonder if that makes a difference. I liked it too. I though it was cute and definately very Stitch-like. Remember folks, the guy is supposed to be cute, fluffy, gross, and dangerous. pirate:

BTW my DD is afraid of It's a Small World, and I'll tell ya... I don't blame her.

I wish this thread had started before I brought my DD3 on the ride. What a horrible experience. My husband said she would be fine - I had no idea what it was. She was terrified the whole time. I felt so bad. It was the dumbest ride - I hated it. Don't waste your time or scare you children.
