I have never been to this and have a few questions. I know they open the MK early for the little ones to ride. My question is regarding the different performances that go on at MGM. DD loves Johnny and the Sprites and I read that he will be there. Do you have to obtain tickets to see the performance or how does that work? I'm anxiously waiting to hear the schedule! TIA!

We were there last year for Dan Zanes. The first time we arrived at the last minute and walked in without any tickets. We saw him again later in the week and there were actually people right outside the theatre with tickets. I heard that it was much more difficult to obtain tickets for the Doodlebops and the Wiggles. The shows we saw were great and our kids loved it.

We were there for this last year when Imagination Movers was performing. There were people on the street handing out tickets I suppose because the theater wasn't full.

So you do have to get a ticket however there is no additional charge for it, if that is what you were wondering. It's included with park admission.

I can't wait to see what the schedule for the performers is this year so we can see who is performing when we will be there again this fall.

I can't wait to see the schedule either...we're taking my DS for his 1st birthday & he loves all of the playhouse disney shows already. He's a Disney fan at 5 months! Yay!!!:cheer2:

Isn't it funny that even the smaller babies love it so much! DD loved it too at 5 months and it keeps getting better. She was almost 11 months when we took her and she had a blast and loved the characters! It was so much fun! Can't wait to go back in October

Does anyone know where I could look to see a schedule of who will be performing and when?

Thanks
Tricia

Wow! That sounds great!! I'll have to keep an eye out for the times.

Thanks so much for the info.!! :flower3:

Last year the schedule of performances and times was not released until July.

For the shows, when MGM opens, there is a table set up...when we were there in mid-September it was outside the theater where the shows were held. You go there and they will give you your tickets for the show time that you want. :)

I heard the Wiggles days were a little nuts. :scared1:

I thought I saw on the Disney website it starts on August 26? Has anyone else saw this?

It does start on Aug. 26th. We went last year and Fantasyland was great!! We did all the FL rides by 9am and there is LOTS of character interaction! I highly recommend going.
Here's what I pulled to WDW's site today:

We loved this last year. My daughters, 11 and almost 3 back last sept, had a blast. They played red light, green light with peter pan and wendy, then rode on Snow White's ride with snow white! It was fantastic. The characters were everywhere just hanging out with the kids! I hope it is just as great as last year. I have a great pic of snow white with her arms around both girls walking off to her ride!

I think this is wonderful, I know DD is up at the crack of dawn on a normal day. We usually let her watch the disney channels in the morning and linger over breakfast and then finally leave for the rope drops. Now she can get up and GO!!!!!

Woo hoo!! Will be there on Oct 25th, so at least we will catch a cpl of days of it. Maybe Ill try and get there a day early depending on what the schedule looks like.

We were there last year for the little ones magic hour - we had such a great time - there was literally a handful of people in fantasyland with all the characters playing with the kids - my dd's played catch and kickball w/pooh & eeyore, played simon says w/mickey, minnie - capt hook & peter pan were chasing each other around, dd's played with snow white and dopey - it was so much fun - we also saw johnny and the sprites at mgm - it was a cute show and the theater was only half full - can't wait to do it again this year

I can't wait to hear more details about this & who is going to be there this year. I'm especially excited for the early hours for kids at Fantasyland. My little guy will only be 1, but I think it will be a wonderful interaction between the characters & kids, and a chance for all of us parents to take lots of great pictures :)

We are going Nov. 29- Dec. 8, any chance we will see any of this? We read something about Woody's roundup, will we miss this? My DD6 wants her brother to see this, he will be 10 months old and his name is Andy! She calls him our Toy Story baby.
