Little Mermaid in Soft Opening right now!

Went on the ride today and enjoyed it quite a bit. I wouldn't say it was perfect, but it lived up to my expectations. I don't think it will be a HIT, but I think it will be a great addition to Paradise Pier and DCA as a whole!

The art is great and that is what I enjoyed most! I always love when rides have that freshly painted smell, as well! Overall, it would be a nice break from the usual DCA I know and love!

I tried to get on today with my AP or DVC membership and I was turned down. They had mentioned that AP holders will be allowed to ride on the 5/31 or 6/1.

It's open right now for everyone - didn't check for passes or anything. Only a five minute wait. Sweeeeet.

I'm a little disappointed since I was at the park yesterday. No biggie, I think I will leave work early one day during the week to check it out.

Yes it is! The line is much longer than this morning though... At least it looks that way from across the pond at TSMM anyway haha

I got there at 3:30 and they said the wait was going to be about 15 minutes and it was less than. The ride was awesome!! It was clearly not geared towards high-thrill types, but it is definitely an upgraded dark ride. Some of the touches were great and it really felt like you were under the sea :goodvibes

The LM ride was closed when I got to PP around 7pm. Then later during the nighttime, the CMs reopened the ride during the end of the 9pm WoC show. When the WoC show was over, there were a lot of people heading on over to the LM ride. I got lucky and got back on the ride tonight.

I am so bummed. We were there all day yesterday and didn't realize LM was open. I was even standing right in front of it at the 9:00 WOC show and didn't notice it afterwards. My 7 year old pointed out that it looked open after the show and I said it wasn't possible! Dumb. I wonder if it will be open again today. Does anyone know? I may try...

I was there last night, there was a problem with Ursula. Of course it happened as we were heading back over there! Check Twitter as you're in the parks, I was stalking it for updates on when LM was open

Just got lucky and rode it today. We were in DCA to take some pictures, and just as we were passing by LM on our way out, they opened it around 11am. Hopped in line and rode with practically no wait.

If you have already ridden it, what is your review? Looks like most people just seem to think it's ok. I sneaked and watched the youtube. I thought it looked amazing.

I decided to make the drive over at opening to see if we could ride it today. Yes! They opened it at 11 a.m. and we went right in. My kids and I really liked it. We even rode it a second time! It is very bright an colorful and the clam shell cars are cool.

I thought it was great!! I'm not sure that's just because I wasn't expecting this huge new amazingly modern attraction, but I loved it. It's definitely made for the younger crowd though. To me, it seemed most similar to HM in that you're in your clammobile, which takes you "under the sea" and you essentially go through some different rooms that correlate to the more iconic songs. I can understand how some people could be disappointed by it, but I was not one of those. The line moved well, the clammobiles were spacious, the animatronics were AMAZING (Ariel, Ursula, etc.). Overall, I was very happy with it :goodvibes

I really like it, it's upbeat and I like the way it tells the story. My hubby on the other hand thought it disappointed. Maybe you just have to like LM and the story. Kiss the girl was my favorite scene.

Rode it today.... Waited about 20 minutes around noon... And only like 5 minutes this evening... As for my review, I thought it was just OK. It's not the worst ride, but it's definitely not the best ride... For the amount of time and money they spent I guess I just expected a whole lot more! More special effects, more wow's, more wanting to go back and stand in line to ride again! On the scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 7.... My 6 year old daughter would give it a 10 though!

ETA rode it again during world of color because it was walk-on! I spent the entire ride looking for hidden mickeys, with no luck! I also spent a lot of time looking backwards looking for Whoopie Goldburgs head mounted on a wall...

lmao!

We got to the Pier around 12:50 to find that LM was closed, the CM's said "check back later today". We sat on a bench for a bit and at 1:00 saw that there were people walking in to the attraction so we headed for the line. People were flooding in so CM's had to organize the overflow quickly. We had about a 15 min wait that went by fast.

DH & I loved the ride. Ursula was amazing!! Wasn't a huge fan of the bits of CG. I think it would have been better if they were hand drawn. The rushed "happily-ever-after" finale wasn't quite so bad.*

It's still open with about a 30-40 min wait. We're in line for TSMM now. :)
