Little Mermaid Fastpass

We are just back from 8 days over Christmas. We got there everyday around 8 am and collected fast passes for the day. We rarely used the passes during the time shown -- always used them long after the time, even on the Mermaid. We were turned away once, so we went to a supervisor. He said they always let you in past the time. The CM was confused because our time said 12 pm - 1 pm. It was about 10 pm. The park was open till 1 am and she thought our pass was for late at night. The

What about the Stunt Show at MGM? Do they typically honor late FP's there too?

Maybe it has to do with the crowd level whether they turn you away? In July, we were kindly told that our FP had "expired", but we could grab another and try again and we were not admitted in the FP lane. How strange is that? I'm kind of irritated that many people have not been "picked on" and not declined admittance!! On our last visits, we were much more careful on making it between the time stamped.

While your logic may be correct, the reality is CM's will let a late fastpass go through w/out any questions asked...not saying it's wrong or right, just stating the facts as observed on previous visits.

By your logic, I could get to a park at 9:00am. get fast pass for Space Mountain. Not go back and ride it. Then , when it says I can, go get another FP for Peter Pan.....not go back and ride, then when It says I can, go get a FP for Splash Mountan.....not go back and ride....then when I can , go get a Winnie TP FP.

Go have dinner, come back to the park at 7:00pm, and just go ride all the rides I have expired fast passes for. And hit all the big E rides back to back,

I know for a fact that 8 out of 10 CM will not let someone ride with a FP from 9:00am at 8:00pm.

Have done it many times, without a problem. Ridden PP at night with a morning fast pass and never even been questioned....not once.

Yep. That would be the correct logic. LOL! We have never been questioned about a late fast pass. We usually grab them throughout the early part of the day. After dinner we come back to the park and use all our fastpasses that had expired hours ago. Never have a problem. We did this many times during our October trip.

Wow...that's funny. I normally laugh at all the rule quoters on these bords. You know the ones who scream when you mention pool hopping, or adding extra people to a room without telling. I have no problem doing those things.

But to me, using a fast pass thats 4 hours expired seems totoally wrong. LOL!

I guess I need to re-evalute my thoughts. I am going Jan 21-28th, and will have to try this out.

Of course, if everyone did this, the fastpass line would be longer than standby...

Well, that would be assuming that everyone who's holding off on using them late would all wait until late evening.. Then the lines would get terribly long.

We used MANY, MANY FPs late on our last trip, and were never turned away for anything. This was during Jersey Week, which isn't ridiculously crowded, but crowded enough.

And to the thought that showing up late for a FP is 'breaking a rule'- people have been told multiple times that this is well within the rules (many have been told this by supervisors after misinformed CMs have tried to turn them away)--so, I don't think you can call people on breaking any rules regarding this.

I believe that the "policy" of the Fastpass system is that the Fastpass is only good for the window shown on the ticket. Arrive late, and they have every right to turn you away. That being said, I have never been turned away for a ride while holding a Fastpass, regardless of how late I showed up. I have shown up during the Xmas week with a Fastpass for TT that expired more then 3 hours earlier and we were welcomed on the ride. We have made use of expired Fastpasses many times, at many attractions at all different times of the year. As a side note...Do not try to get on the attraction ahead of your posted time. They will turn you away for that to wait for your assigned time.

I know for a fact that we did this many times during our trip this past September with no problems. If this is something you wouldn't and don't do, then how do you know it to be a fact? Not trying to be a smart aleck, just wondering where you got this fact.

Just from seeing others het turned away.

Being ad WDW 2 trips a year since since before fast pass was created, has allowed me to witness all kinds of things.

I can't tell you how many times we have been waiting to show the CM our FP to enter the Que, only to have to wait for the CM to explain to the people in front of us that they were too early, and yes, too late to use there FP.

Not me, my husband and he didn't go to complain, just to ask. I told him forget it, but he wanted to know the policy. If the policy was really to turn away expired fast passes, then we would get there during the right time. If the policy is to let everyone in with passes from earlier in the day, then we wanted to use the policy to our advantage. The supervisor told him that the policy was to let people in after their passes were expired. If that's the policy, then I'm going to use it. Once on an earlier trip, we came in after our passes and the CM said, "You know the secret" because we knew our passes were good. It's not breaking the rules if it is their policy.
