I’ve researched the best I can but is your 60 day FastPass window open from the start of your onsite hotel stay or the starting date of your ticket? We are staying 10 night at the BWV beginning 11/17 but I have a ticket that begins 11/16. How about for ADR? And what is the leading reservation stuff I’ve read a bit about? I’ve read it’s been shutdown but maybe not if you have a ticket that extends from the first stay into the second stay. Not exactly sure what it means.

And one last thing is I want to be sure my bookings go as planned and I don’t put myself in a situation where the system will have glitches. My father will be staying at Shades of Green 11/17-11/21 and then heading home while my family stay at the BWV from 11/17-11/27. He will have a 3 day park hopper ticket while ours will be 8 day park hopper plus. My sister will also be staying with him at shades of Green and she has an annual pass. I need to make all reservations to try to keep us together. Should I add his hotel confirmation to my My Disney Experience account or have him do it with his own account and then somehow invite home so I can book everything however that is done? And I assume he can just add my sister as part of the reservation when entering the hotel confirmation manually in My Disney Experience?

You can start making your fp’s 60 days before your resort stay begins, and adr’s 180 before your resort stay begins.

Ok so it doesn’t matter if the ticket starts before your stay then right?

No, the FP+ opening window is tied to your resort reservation, not your ticket. Your 60-day window will open 60 days prior to your check-in date and your 180+10 window will open 180 days prior to check-in. You can, however, make a reservation for 11/16 180 days prior to that date if you would like. You will just have to wait until the next day to make ADRs for the rest of your stay.

Has your father already linked his SOG reservation or his tickets in his MDE account? If so, your best bet is to link the accounts via Friends and Family. Once linked, that should enable you to make the FP+ for everyone 60 days prior to your check-in date (for the days that fall within your resort stay). For ADRs, it doesn't matter if you are linked or not as you can make ADRs for as many people as you want regardless of how many people are actually on a resort reservation.

He has not linked it yet. I will be controlling everything to do with fast passes and reservations. I can use his password and enter his hotel confirmation and ticket info on his account and then invite him I guess? Or I can just add his 4 night shades of green reservation to my account that already has my boardwalk reservation for 10 nights but I just wanted to be sure there would be no glitches having two hotel reservations on my account. I was afraid of it not letting me book my entire stay fast passes at 60 days and it acting like it was a split stay. I assume there probably wouldn’t be any glitches though. Would you just add everything under one account or use his account to add his hotel and ticket and then invite him or whatever? Hope my ramblings make sense.

It really doesn't matter if you put both reservations in one or put it under his account for the purposes of booking fastpasses. However, if the hotel stay is in your MDE instead of his, if he gets a magicband this stay and wants to use it during a future stay his ticket would have to be in your account instead of his own. Also, if he wants to charge to his room and the reservation is on your account instead of his, he will be charging to your credit card. I recommend entering his reservation on his account and linking as friends and family. He needs to list your sister on his reservation, then she needs to be linked to him and he needs to confirm her MDE is the Jane Smith he lists on the reservation so that her magicband will open the hotel room.

FP is 60 days from an onsite stay 30 days from an offsite stay. Technically you will be offsite for your first day so you will be able to book your 2nd day through the rest of your stay 60 days out. For your first day you will have to wait until 30 days from your park day.
