This post is getting so far :offtopic: that it should probably be laid to rest...allthough- I'm not helping matters by posting!::rotfl2:

Contamination fears are just one minor aspect of a much larger issue.

ANyway, this lady's OCD has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Where I work the Medical staff have posted guidleines for proper bathroom behaviour to reduce the risk of passing germs onto others . Turn the tap on with a paper towel, wash your hands, dry your hands and THEN turn off the water with the same paper towel. That procedure gives credence to the fact there are germs in the bathroom. I don't think it's unreasonable to want to avoid other people's germs. I mean geeze, think about some of the things a woman has to do in a bathroom during certain times of the month. They then use their hands to open the lock on the door, turn on the tap, etc. That's why alot of bathrooms have gone to automatic water, soap and no doors. To reduce both water consumption AND germs.

ANd just because urine is sterile (and it's not always if said person has bacteria in it....something I had throughout my last pregnancy), doesn't mean I want to have someone else's on on me. It also ceases to be unsterile as soon as it hits the fllor where others have walked.

AM I obsessed with cleanliness? No, but I have my own standards in public bathrooms and you'll never convince me I'm going overboard.

You're absolutely right and I believe I'm the one who brought it :offtopic: so let me apologize for doing so.

This goes in the category "Decisions made beyond my pay grade."

If a father feels it's OK, it's his perrogative and it's not my place to comment on it. Same goes for mother and son.

It takes a family with family values to raise a child, despite what certain politicians and socialists would have you believe.

End of story.

Every time a toilet is flushed, a spray of micro-organisms is spread in a radius of almost 6'.

Setting your purse or a diaper bag on the floor contaminates the entire bottom of it. I wouldn't put either on the floor unless it were some sort of emergency.

So what you are saying is that there is no way to have a clean purse? I mean if it is in the stall with me it will be covered in micro-organisms that fly in a six foot radius - even if it is not on the floor.

And what about my clothes - in a busy public restroom am I not covered in other people's fecal micro-organisms? So I walk around all day covered in germs.

It is a miracle we all survive:rotfl2:

I daresay this equine flogging is complete.

May she rest in peace.
