I know who the bad sellers are - I've frequented that thread A LOT. Now I seem to have a question. lol

We are going to list the pins that we don't want anymore on ebay. How should I distinguish myself from those scrapper sellers?

What should I put in the description of the auction?

I'm thinking I will sell them for $2.00 a pin, since they are ALL real. No scrappers here. lol

Thoughts?

You should put something along the lines of "100% Authentic Disney Trading Pin" or something like that in the description. Put that the pins are not scrappers and list the condition. You can also copy the info for the pins from Pinpics and put that with the description.

Do you have a list of pins you are selling? Maybe I can get in on the action before you hit up eBay.

This is really good info. We are going through them tonight, but I can PM you when we are done. I'm hoping to get rid of 30 to 50 of them. We have way too many of them and get more every trip. LOL

I just want them to stand out from all the mass sellers that sell all the fakes. Maybe my low rating (400, not in the thousands) will help. ha ha

I'll keep an eye out for your PM.

Keep in mind you'll be charged $.50 (if you use Buy It Now) for the listing on top of the eBay final value fee and Paypal fee. If you only charge $2/pin you won't be making very much if you sell them individually. You may want to create small groups of pins so you don't have to put up a ton of auctions. Try to group pins into similar categories and you'll probably draw more lookers. I buy a lot of pins from eBay and I always search for pin lots.

How many per lot would you say? And I think I will go with auction, since that is free to me right now.

I'd say put as many pins in the lot that go with a similar theme and put that theme in the auction title. When you send me your list I can give you more specific advice as to which pins would go well together in lots. I find you usually end up with more money with smaller lots as apposed to large lots of 20+ pins.
Another idea is to include a bonus free mystery pin and give them any pin as a bonus. Put "...and FREE BONUS PIN" or something like that in the title to draw bidders in.

Sounds good. I'll be taking pictures, too. I'll post them in the thread so you an see them.

I went ahead and listed them on ebay. PM me if you want my ebay username.

ETA: Most of the pins I posted are still new on the black backings. Never even put them in the pin book. LOL
There are also a couple of lots of pins that we just don't want anymore. :)
