reminds me of being at WLV in the evening by the quiet pool. We have been fishing to help DS ease into fishing trips with Cub Scouts.

But back to the crickets. Listening too them reminds me also of the music that plays at WLV. So on that note, I remember a post back some time ago about that music and the different CDs that we can find the music on. The only one I remember is the music from Dances With Wolves.

Please someone refresh my memory. Our home resort is beckoning too us and we need a fix. Its October til "home again" at WLV.

Two of our favorites on the music list are:

1. The Theme to "The Magnificent Seven"
2. The Theme to "How the West Was Won"

When we were there this past Christmas, they were playing Christmas Carols, which we normally love but I have to admit that we missed the "western" music.

Our most recent stay at the WL, we were serenaded by crickets and frogs----sounded like a full-blown orchestra of wildlife sounds ::yes:: .

I think selections from Aaron Copeland's "Appalachian Spring" also appear from time to time.

The music for the "The Last of the Mohicans" is on there also.

Every Wednesday night from 9:00-10:00pm on MouseHouse radio (free on Live365.com) Wilderness Lodge music is played.

:)

There is a link to it in my signature.

Thanks for all the great info here folks!! I am writing it all down this time.
