I posted this idea on another thread and thought maybe it should have it's own thread....

What idea would you give the Imagineers for an attraction, how, or resort?

Here's mine:
So people wait hours to meet Ariel at her grotto right? You know people would wait to see Tink too. So imagine if you will a meet and greet attraction where you walk into the Lost Boys tree or something and at the front is Tink's cabinet (Tink size of course!). Then the lights go out (like Haunted Mansion), a swirl of pixie dust lights up around the perimeter of the room. Then the lights come back on and Tink's cabinet is no longer small but now is just the right size for people to walk through! The guests "degrow" with the pixie dust to meet Tink and upon exit "regrow" in the same way!

C'mon people! You know my idea rocks!!!!!
(Okay, just pretend it rocks.)

What's your best idea for the Imagineers?

Do SOMETHING with MGM Studios! The park is barely a shell of it's former self, and really needs some TLC and help.

The Tinker Bell idea would be great!

Here is one of mine, finally get rid of that Drew Sounds Carry Sounds thing add this type of attraction revolved around the villains capturing the audience and tormenting them in some way, similar to a Honey, I Shrunk the Audience type of attraction but a little more thrilling:

I like Audience, but maybe its time for that to go soon. I'd rather they add than take away though, unless its Sounds Dangerous or whatever that thing is called taking up space.

And a Resort idea, I think the newer pool at the Grand Floridian should have an all white Mary Poppins statue in the middle or somewhere in the pool or by the edge holding an umbrella that sprays water out of the top. Suits the resort decor. I also think they should add a Lion King Statue over looking the pool at AKL.

Amen, Amen, ANYTHING new there would be an improvement!

...Can we get a clothes shop of some sort in MGM themed with Edna from the Incredibles?

Oh! Oh, and here's one. A rollercoaster themed on Yzma and Kronk's lab? Pweas?

How about an updated version of Alien Encounter at MGM? That seems to be the park for it anyway......let MK have stitch lol

Is that where the High School Musical show going to be located now?

1. Repertory theater.
1a. Different shows are presented at different times in such theaters as China and Canada in Epcot, for example an old film and a new film.

1b. I know this one is difficult but if we can have a "Honey I Shrunk The Audience To Tinker Bell's Size", then we could have a ride that was Pooh one moment and Mr. Toad the next.

2. Dumbo that can accommodate more people over the course of the day. Using the idea of airport carousels, your Dumbo goes around a little, then goes straight, then perhaps turns the other way, then back around. Of course it eventually comes back to where it starts. The idea is to have many more than the current 16 elephants.

3. Imagineering as opposed to just real world operation of traffic lights, particularly at Downtown Disney.

4. A faster way to ride from Marketplace to Cirque du Soleil than via Buena Vista Drive. (I'll let you use your imagination.)

There has been a 'rumor' going around for over a year now that this is exactly what they are going to do:

I hope its true, my girls would love that. My youngest DD's room is decked out in Tink :thumbsup2

Well, I feel sheepish.

I also think it would be cool to have a 1940s themed resort at MGM. (Uh-oh, maybe I should check the resort ideas board before I say that) You know, kind of like the hotel in TofT in the pre-show, all glammed up and vintage!

Hmmmm . . .

I would put something permanent in that theatre @ MGM that once used to be Doug Live. I know it's used for special events, but at least put SOMETHING permanent there. Maybe the Aladdin show from DCA or the Hercules show that's closing on DCL.

I would also totally do a door ride from Monsters Inc. I know there's the Laugh Floor at MK and I know there's the dark ride @ DCA, but we NEED a roller coaster from the door scene!!!! :)

I would also make the virtual safari on the Lion King 1 1/2 dvd a real ride :)

One more thing would be a Pirates Maelstrom ride from At World's End!!! Would that be cool or what! Where you're in the middle of the maelstrom! THat would be so cool, all the special effects they could add to make you feel the wind and the water. But of course please keep the original Pirates. The Maelstrom ride would be in addition to the original Pirates. (Hey maybe replace the Epcot Norway Maelstrom)

Umm....you've missed your calling, that is AWESOME and I would knock a 5 year old down to get to that attraction :lmao: Honestly, that sounds fabulous, nice job!

I heard from my bff who was a cp this summer that the new High School Musical show will be replacing Beauty and the Beast at the Hollywood Ampitheatre. I love HSM, but that would make me sad!

Studios is too small. Here is what I would do...

There is a lot of land beyond TOT and RNR, but there is a road in the way.

Create a new "Magic of Disney Animation" that fits between RNR and ToT. Instead of being an attraction alone, it is an entrance in to Disney animation. Since there is a road in the way, build a bridge over it similar to Disneylands Downtown Disney, only cover it with dark rides starting with Snow White and working through to Cars, one for each movie. This animation boulevard would open up to an animation land that is virtually the same size as the existing Studios (there is a LOT of land on the other side of the road.) This is where the Monsters Inc door ride, Yzma's rollercoaster etc would go. Mix it up with thrill rides family rides shows, and kiddie rides. On the far side of that create an Animation themed Moderate Resort that has direct entrance in to Studios, similar to California adventure. The themeing could be along the lines of "Andy's Bedroom" at ASMo, where you are "toy sized" only you would go in to different animation studios and you are the size of the animation cells. Each area would be themed to a different movie, with areas reserved for future hits.

This way you would not ruin the theming of the rest of studios, because you are entering the animation studio storyboards and movies themeselves as you move through the AnimationLand area.

Thoughts? Ideas? Criticisms?

No, no, don't feel sheepish. I think it's a great idea, and I thought you might want to know it might actually come true :goodvibes

My idea is to remove the BackStage stuff at World Showcase (or move it back a bit), and put small internationally themed resorts in WS. There would be a loop road (and parking lot) to access the resorts from outside the park, and a turnstile between the resort and it's appropriate pavilion (need a ticket/room key to pass in either direction).

I'm not sure the costs involved in doing something like this, but it seems pretty elaborate for what amounts to a character meet-n-greet.

I would like to see the Indy cars updated to Cars movie and make them electric cars so I don't have to huff those fumes!

Also a Monster Inc revolving doors ride at Mgm would be fun. They have the meet and greet there just no attraction!

I had an idea for a Haunted Mansion themed resort. However when I emailed my idea to Disney I got a response that says:

I'm pretty sure this is an old idea, but I'd like a fifth, villain-themed park. I've always been a fan of the villains--they don't get much coverage in the parks--and, now that I'm older, have a desire for faster-paced rides. This could be Disney's answer to Universal's Islands of Adventure, and there's plenty of land for it.
