I just got an email from gmac on their resale listings. All I can say is WOW. The list is just staggering and the prices surprised me. I purchased a couple of years ago and what a difference. I see SSR in the 60s and AKL with loaded points in the low 80s. I guess thats an indicator of the economy. I'm just floored right now.

Probably. I think a lot of SSR owners probably still owe money on the financing, and may be in some financial trouble, so they want a quick sale, even if it doesn't pass ROFR. The same be true for some AKV owners.

I know, the prices are indeed amazingly lower than they were a few years ago. Too bad I didnt wait for initial purchase or resale. Eager beaver loses the good resale deal, right.

to think that SSR (at least for now) is likely to be selling in the 60s. Yes, LOTS of SSR listings - five full pages. I see TWO listed in "the 60s." One 130-point contract, and one 300-pointer. Most are in at least the mid- to high-70s and low 80s. I recently bought through GMAC and was told that some sellers choose to lowball their prices in order to catch the eye of potential buyers, knowing 1) that buyers are aware of ROFR and are likely to offer a price they believe will pass; and 2) they (the sellers) have the option of refusing an offer, even if someone offers "asking price."

 Why bother wasting everyone's time with game playing? Just curious.

you can just call them and ask them to send it. Also, the Timeshare Store has a list as well thru the ad at the top of this screen.

Just another example of this great economy we all have been living under for 8 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That list never seems to change, ever!!

Well the lists on other resalers change... so I think that one of the reason the list doesn't change is that GMAC doesn't update it as often as they should..... (That and some of us have figured out that they aren't worth dealing with LOL!)

correct me if I am wrong, but why would someone want to pay 60,000 for something when the prices start at 16,000? Am I misunderstanding the prices?
