What are the logistics behind that? If I cancel it’s over, I’m not going. If I move it to a later date is the idea they may send me a message saying we are throwing in quick service dining?

I have (had) a 1-8 June reservation so I got the email this morning, I also have a 4-12 July reservation I was hoping to keep and perhaps get lucky enough to throw that earlier free dining offer on (full rack rate for July right now).
Not sure what you mean. I think disney is going to need to find some sort of recovery for those that were double canceled at the very least. Disney didn’t have to offer anything the first time around but they did. Now I think many will expect it. Like some others have said disney could change it this time and it could be a room discount or ticket offer or something.

I'm sure they have a lot of reservations on the books, but I have a feeling that when they finally announce what operations and procedures look like they will see a lot of cancellations. We hear a lot on the boards that people don't want a half-Disney experience. I imagine a mass selection of the populous feels the same way.

Probably a lot of people that because they don’t follow disney news on fan boards don’t have any idea what to expect when returning. Most probably have a general idea, but they’re not having Mask Debates at the dinner table

You are right, I bet a majority have no clue about what is going to happen there. Imagine little Johnny running to hug Mickey and getting tazed in the process

My Frontera Cocina dinner ADR for June 2 just disappeared.

FW horseback riding & AKL starlight safari (also June 2) are still on my plans.

Hotels, FPs & ADRs June 3 - 7 are still there.

Just received the email 30 minutes ago.

After an hour waiting to speak to a cast member, I just wanted to see if I could move my trip to another week this June. Answer is nope.

Not really sure what we’re going to do now. 🤔

Btw - the cm I spoke to wasn’t the typical friendly voice and sounded stressed out. I hope people aren’t being jerks.

I'm sure people absolutely are being jerks, unfortunately.

I think the free dining or some other promotion will come back again for those who were canceled. They have to allow some flexibility for those double canceled.
And I think they originally offered the promo thinking they wouldn't be closed for this long. I'm sure they will offer this or something else for people booking in the future.

Unfortunately, since they removed the ability to make or modify any June reservations as of last week, these June reservations can also not be modified-even if you were staying June 7-June 20 since your arrival falls on June 7 (in this current cancellation window) it's cancelled :(
A pp said she was offered an opportunity to modify within June but couldn’t keep free dining so she didn’t. Did you try to modify?

So how will I get notified? I rented points through a company, so the owner of the points made the reservation. The agent I work with said I will just see my reservation fall off the ME my plans area. So now I'm worried that I won't hear until the actual date. Anyone using rented DVC point been informed & how far out?

I got my dreaded email this morning saying my travel dates have been impacted. I knew it was coming but I was still holding out hope. All the work I put into dining reservations and fast passes have been for nothing. Now I have to restart all over and hope my supervisor gives me October 27 through Nov 4th. My husband even came up with the idea of going to Vages or maybe Hawaii. Maybe even Sandles adult only resort. Who knows what I will do. I just worked so hard to plan everything. I know it was nothing I could have done it was beyond my control. I’m just really disappointed right now. Need some pixie dust and any other

The CM told me they are absoutely not taking any reservations in June and I couldn’t even move it. My original date was in April but I re-booked before they cancelled it. Then I moved it to June 1-11 so I thought I could at least shave off the first week and/or add to it. The answer was no. :( I am really thinking they will open the 8th, but I said they would open June 1, so there’s that. 😂 With the rumors Universal is calling people back and Hard Rock accepting reservations, I don’t think Disney is that far behind.

That's interesting because I spoke to a CM earlier this morning and she said I could modify my trip in June but we would lose the free dining we had received from our March cancellation. She was looking at adding days onto the end of our trip and applying the sun and fun discount which didn't offer as much of a discount as the free dining and they wouldn't transfer it to my backup July reservation so I cancelled both. She did say she was able to modify it but since I didn't follow through with actually booking it maybe she really couldn't modify it. She was very pleasant but that was right after the emails started going out.

I rented and got no emails from Disney regarding the cancellation of the reservation. I got an email for each one of my cancelled ADRs as well as the free dining offer email that came later.

I knew my reservation was cancelled because of news of the resorts closing (I was the first or second day), and then after that my reservation disappeared.

Lots of reports of cancellation emails now(from off this board). Read everyone's posts from yesterday we were all trying to say there is no 5pm wed rule! I said yesterday it was coming , Disney has no signs of opening.

This should be a good "lesson" a few pushy people on here acted like it was in stone that if they didn't get an emails at 5pm wed everyone's trips was ON. This is you making your own rules and confusing people. You confused alot of people! We all told you it was not a sign at all. Please take this lesson for the next round. There will be more rounds , they are not opening all resorts at once in the best case scenario.

I called because I saw your post actually. My dates go through the 11th too so I thought it would be easy to modify, especially if they will be open on the 8th (the next week). The CM was pretty adamant but maybe she was having a bad day, I know some are more helpful than others.

Maybe I’ll call again later when I don’t have to wait for an hour. I have not modified anything and I’m tempted to just leave it alone in case they make further changes. In other words, let them cancel it.
