My number one pet peeve:

Neighbors who use power mowers before 8 AM on a Saturday morning!!
(can anyone guess who will be crabby today?)

who's next....

Cashiers that talk to each other while you're standing in their line getting checked out. Usually about their plans for the evening or last night's party.

My 2 pet peeves revolve around DH. I can't stand when he irons in the AM and then leaves the ironing board up in the middle of the bedroom. And the other is when is pours some soda from the bottle in the fridge, and then barely tightens the cap when he puts it back on- I hate flat soda!!

Well my #1 would be when people list their pet peeves....lol no jk

i would have to say when you are at a crowded place at like the mall and people just think its ok to stop in the middle of everyone. I also have a problem with slow drivers lol

Minnie, I agree with you! One of my (many) pet peeves is when people take their dogs camping with them and just let them bark, and bark and bark. Get a muzzle for goodness sake, or better yet stay at home and teach them obedience!! Another one is also camping related. People who think they have to turn their music (or rap, which isn't even music!!) up so high that everyone camping around them has to "enjoy" it too!!!

Not picking up towels from a shower ! Unfortunately, my DH, DS, and DD are all habitual abusers.
I've learned to grin and bear it !
:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

people who don't turn off their cell phones in restaurants..I am so tired of hearing ringing phones during a meal..and then have to listen to them carry on a conversation..they don't even lower their voices!!

Driving related:

1) The morons who pass illegally on the right hand side - totally dangerous!

2) People who leave their turn signals on for miles and miles.

3) The road hogs who get in the left lane of the interstate and decrease their speed and just hang there.

Other:

1) Spam and porn emails.

2) The zippers on jeans that don't work after about 6 washings!

1. The morons who drive slowly in the left lane forcing me to pass on the right.

2. Reality TV.

1. The morons who drive slowly in the left lane forcing me to pass on the right.

Touche, Sonja!!;)

But I mean the MORONS on a 2 lane highway who pass on the berm. Especially in our small college town, when you're at the intersection wanting to make a left hand turn and someone coming the other direction also wants to make a left hand turn - and the jerk passes on the right berm and causes an accident!!

-People who cant understand basic rules of the road
-People who pawn their kids off on other people(especially when its me)
-People with more than 12 items in the express check out line
-People who bring dogs places they shouldnt, like into stores.
-People who dont obey the leash law and let their dogs terrorize people and children taking walks

I agree with this but I think it's annoying when this happens anywhere! There always seems to be one neighbor who lets the dog bark endlessly and we always had someone who played their music way too loud back when we lived in apartments.

I hate it when you are standing in line to check out at a store and they open up a new lane and someone behind you almost runs you over to get there first.

Also a pet peeve is people who don't write a thank you note for a gift. :(

About cell phones......I can't believe when people don't turn them off in meetings....then when they actually answer them in the meeting......then when they hold a whole conversation during the meeting. And I mean a ladies meeting at church, it happens almost every month.....what happened to getting up and taking it outside? I don't even take my cellphone in with me to places like that. Personally, I don't want to be reached at times like that. The caller can leave a message and I will answer it when I'm able to. If it's a matter of being able to be reached for an emergency....put it on vibrate then leave the room to answer it!!!!!!!!!!!! Movies are the same way........

Yikes..........didn't realize I had so much pent up frustration about that.

Bad Manners

Thank you so much for asking. :teeth:

I've got lots, but here are a couple that are top-of-mind right now:

1) People in the supermarket who change their mind about buying something and are too lazy to take the item back to where they found it. Instead, they just dump it wherever they happen to be. There's nothing more disgusting than a package of leaky beef on the shelf next to cereal. Yuck!

2) People who whine about the weather. It's winter. It's cold. It snows. Get over it!

When people go to the post office on a crowded day and get up to the window with an untaped box that isn't addressed yet. They could do the addressing & taping out of line but they don't want to lose their place in line...but they will hold up the line for others. I was just at the post office this morning and it happened with several people. The line was only 5 or 6 people deep but it took me 45 minutes.

-People with more than 12 items in the express check out line

Haha Camcolt! This is a pet peeve of mine too and when I was pregnant, Chris went through the 12 items or less lane with more than 12 items (he swears it was less) and I got so mad at him. I was just fuming and threatened to leave him. I said "I just can't be married to someone who goes through the 12 items or less lane with more than 12 items". LOL Talk about hormones! Geesh, it is a pet peeve but I've never felt quite THAT passionate about it again since the raging pregnancy hormones are gone. LOL :teeth:
