I noticed that most of the links being posted up here were for US based sites that either didn't ship to, or cost a fortune to ship to the UK. So here's a by no means comprehensive list of some UK scrapbook and crafting websites. Feel free to add your own in!

www.southfield-stationers.co.uk
Lovely papers and bits and bobs but beware the very high postal charges.

www.hobbycraft.co.uk
No ability to order online but stores nationwide so there should be one near you, carries over 30, 000 items.

http://www.liz-craft.co.uk/
Carries 3D decopage kits for Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and co and also Pooh Bear characters and storybook moments from the Pooh books.

www.letsgetscrapping.co.uk
Has fantastic Disney stuff including theme park stickers, also has some beautiful books.

www.poppypapercuts.co.uk
Great scrapping bits and pieces including mini picture frames in film strip style, great for MGM related pages!

http://www.craftdepot.co.uk/
Great selection of stickers.

http://www.craftcreations.co.uk/
Items for all types of crafts imaginable at reasonable prices.

www.craft-box.com
Rather long winded navigation, not the best site out there but good if you're into stamping and glitter products.

www.fredaldous.co.uk
Good prices but almost no pictures so buying online is a nightmare. It's probably better to go to the shop in Manchester.

www.creativecrafts.co.uk
Not a great deal of scrapping stuff but good for other crafts.

www.artsandcreations.co.uk
Big directory of smaller crafting sites.

www.creativememories.co.uk
Consultant based service, go on the website to find your nearest consultant.

Queenie,
Thanks for the links. There is a slight chance we will be moving to England for a year and I wasn't sure how popular scrapbooking was over there. DH has just come home from a 2 week trip to London and Belgium but he refused to buy any scrapbooking stuff for me.

Thanks Queenie!

Can I add a gem I've found for Sizzix dies (lowest price I've found in UK!)
http://www.madaboutsizzix.com.
She was selling on Ebay but launched her website a few weeks ago.

BernardandMissBianca - I can't really answer your question as I don't scrapbook myself but I have noticed that in the last couple of months Hobbycraft has started stocking scrapbooking supplies (albums, eyelets, ribbons etc.) so it's obviously taking off here! Everything seems to be about twice the price in the UK so I'd bring some supplies with you if/when you come.

Do you know where you'd be based if you came over?

My DH's company is based in California but they have an office in Chiswick.
We were looking at Maidenhead or the Windsor area. I was looking at the American Community School in Egham. Since we'll only be there a year I wanted my DS(8,4,3) to have a similar curiculum to what we have now.
plus Egham has a fencing club which DS8 is really into. I have tons of scrapbooking stuff but we're trying to decide what to bring and what not to. i.e. the car, furniture, and things like that. I'm kind of looking forward to the move, my grandfather was from York. It would be nice to see if anyone is still there.

I only imagine how difficult 'packing' will be - I'm bad enough working out what to take for 2 weeks! :confused3

I don't know Maidenhead very well but Windsor is lovely (but pricey!) York is also a beautiful historic place - you must visit!

It sounds like you know whats what already but if you need any help/local knowledge it might be worth a post on the UK Community Board - we're a friendly bunch.

:flower: Sorry Guys I've gone off topic - please forgive me?! :flower:

Thanks a bunch Wils,
I plan to stop over on the UK boards once I get some solid info on moving. I've been lurking over there trying to get used to the different words used. :teeth:
I'll make my way over there soon.

York is a beautiful place, I go there often as it's only half an hour north from us. Parking costs a small fortune though, be prepared to take out a second mortgage if you wanna fo for more than an hour!!! BernardandMissBianca - if you need any info about the UK feel free to PM me, I've lived all over.

If you want UK Scrapbooking stores then check out www.ukscrappers.co.uk and the sponsors page (click on sponsors at the top), we have abotut 35 sponsors, most of them specialist scrapbook shops, and none of them are on your list, so lots of new places to start shopping!
