Does anyone have a list of the officiants Disney recommends they could post please?

In addition any recommendations would be welcome!

I have 'em, they're just in a PDF(=can't copy+paste), so if no1 else posts 'em I will when I get back from class. ;) DF&I chose Ron Rosenzweig tho', and he's been great! :)

The officiant I'm using is not on the list, but came highly recommended by a friend. So far he has been wonderful in the planning process.

Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

We used Re. Tim Herring for our vow renewal. He did a beautiful job. We have three kids, and he even made them a special part of the ceremony. :thumbsup2
Good luck to you!

We had Rev. Tim as well-- he was just great! He's got a long track record w/ DFTW and we were really pleased w/ our ceremony. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for all the advice, it's so difficult to select someone when the first time you're going to meet them is your wedding day!

The only person (thus far) i've heard negative things about on here is Rev Knox, so apart from him everyone else is still in the game...decisions, decisions!!

How far in advance is it recommended to contact them?

Thanks again guys!!

I contacted Rev. Tim as soon as our date was finalized with Disney (so a little less than a year out) b/c he was our first choice. So, my suggestion is the sooner the better. :thumbsup2

And if you're "shopping around" for officiants at this point I see no problem in emailing them and requesting sample ceremonies/price lists/ etc.

I agree! I just looked at his website and it seemed good, and then I heard good things on here, so that helped.

I contacted ours on April 4th because the Disney Wishes timeline said to 12months in advance, and I follow that thing as much as I can, lol. Our wedding will be on April 19th of next year. :)

If you want to see his options for ceremonies, I can put it up. :)

Thanks everyone!

All help is much appreciated.

It feels a bit odd 'shopping around' for a reverend haha!

My husband and I also had Rev. Tim Herring! He does have a very long history with Disney...and is wonderful! He really makes everyone feel involved and has such a great way about him! My husband and I got engaged at the end of September 08 and signed contract with Disney over Thanksgiving 08...had Planning Session in March of 09...keep in mind...wedding in May 09. I took a list of officiants to the planning session and actually called Rev Tim and he came over to meet before my planning session! It was history after the introductions...such a personable guy!

Had Rev. Miller this past July. LOVED LOVED LOVED him!!! He was smooth, funny, just a wonderful person and he brought life and energy to the ceremony!

We used Kevin Knox and had a bad experience. I know other brides have had a good experience with him, but we were really disappointed. In fact, he's the one thing about the wedding that we were really unhappy with!

I let my DF choose the officiant and now I am a bit worried because no one ever mentions this Sig guy.:confused3

Any more reviews out there? I am undecided at this point.

Thanks!

We went with Rev. Jack Day. We LOVED:lovestruc him! Actually everyone at my wedding did! He's being officiating weddings for YEARS! He has a great sense of humor and he puts you right at ease! He was cracking jokes to lighten the mood- and he makes you feel like he knows you, even though you may have only spoken on the phone once or twice! He is just the cutest little man you ever saw in your life, my grandma affectionately said he reminded her of "Friar Tuck":rotfl:. Anyway- I have nothing but great things to say about Rev. Jack Day! He has lots of different ceremonies to chose from, from religious to civil ceremonies.

This is going to sound weird, but what sold me on Rev Jack Day was when I heard about a bride who ran into him years after their ceremony (somewhere at Disney) and he remembered them- by name!! Amazing guy!

We actually had Rev Knox's wife Teresa. We loved her. She's not a reverend, so she just did a non-religious ceremony for us which is exactly what we wanted. She did everything exactly how we asked and was very personable. She cracked a joke when my nephew broke out in song in the middle of our vows too - didn't miss a beat! Just throwing that out there for anyone else that may read this thread that's interested in someone other than a reverend.

Based on a lot of people's reviews here I chose Rev. Knox. Our wedding is 7 months away but he has been so helpful in preparing a ceremony we both are comfortable with. He's been great so far!

We're using Rev. Knox as well and, so far, he and Teresa have been been terrific to work with. I really appreciate the "heads up" from Carly and Kyle, though. I really hate they had such a crummy experience on such an important day. Because of their situation, I'm planning to pay online in advance and make sure I have the receipt with me - as well as a few photocopies of our ceremony script. I'm sure everything will be fine, but it certainly never hurts to take precautions ;)
