Lowes is, or at least was earlier this week. I dont know if they had a maximum amount they would donate or not.

DH told me that best buy was??? but I havent heard that anywhere else and it could just have been a ploy to get me to take him to best buy

Don't forget corporate matching that your company already does or ask to see if they plan to do.

That is a good idea. I work for a private school that is currently organizing a charity drive. I doubt they will match, but something is better than nothing. Ironically, I used to work for Allstate Insurance and every year in Sept, we would have a charity drive called The Giving Campagin. It was a program where you could donate to a list of charities. They did not match, but 100% of our department always donated. This came at the perfect time in 2001.

According to the website, the price-matching is for IN-STORE donations.

CARMAX, the company I work for, is doubling associate's donations though their matching gifts program. They normally just match donations, but for Katrina have made the committment to double any donation and suspend the limit on the max you can donate. We are heavily promoting it with assoicates to encourage more donations.

Bi-Lo grocery stores are also matching donations.

Lowe's is matching up to 2 million.

I work for Allstate and they are matching employees donations.

I'm glad to see they are matching now.

I used to underwrite for the agents of Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. I worked very closely with them and have been worried ever since I saw Katrina heading their way. I hope thay are all ok.
