Lisa's Wish Journal - Now we have gone Dopey.

Thanks Amy and Tracy

My friend is okay. :goodvibes She hurt herself over the weekend and instead of taking it easy for a couple of days, she went on as usual. Then a couple days later, she started feeling really bad and hurting and things got worse from there. After multiple tests and a couple ultrasounds, the doctor said she severly bruised a couple internal organs and to STOP and not doing anything for a few days.

The wake last night was okay. I did make one mistake though. I said she was 97 and she was actually 99. Would have made 100 in April. Last night someone said "I'll bet she's singing with her sisters right now." and someone else said, "Nope, bet JD (her husband) met her with a fishing pole and they are fishing on Heaven's creek banks." :goodvibes Not often that I leave a wake smiling.

DH had taken DS and DD with him to the bowling alley and since we weren't at the wake as long as I thought we would be, I decided to go home and do the WII before I went to pick up the kids from DH. IT was great! So much easy to do when you don't have to answer to "Mom..." every two minutes.
I got in a total of 33 minutes. 18 yoga and 15 aerobics.

Oh, and my leg doesn't hurt any more. Wednesday I made a point to walking up and down the stairs a couple of times every hour or so. Really worked to loosen up the muscle and worked out what ever the problem was.

I thought we had a slow weekend planned, but DS has two soccer games tomorrow and asked me to take him to Academy tonight for a mouth guard. He plays goal keeper and got hit in the mouth several times last year. He moved up an age group this year and knows how much rougher these boys are.

Hey Lisa, good job with decreasing your weight age according to Wii!:thumbsup2

If I have to attend a funeral, one like that one you went to is my preference! Someone who is really and truy old, lived a full life and its more of a celebration than anything else.

I hope you get some down time this weekend, so often my quiet weekends turn into weekend marathons of activity!

Way to go on getting your workout in, Lisa!:cheer2: I'm glad to hear that your leg is feeling better too!:thumbsup2

I'm glad to hear that your friend will be okay. :goodvibes I hope she takes the doctor's advice and will take it easy for a few days. It sounds like she needs some time to heal. Sent a prayer her way....

I hope you have a relaxing weekend.

Yes, it is much easier to work out without kids around! If yours are like mine, they don't even acknowledge you are there unless you are on the phone, working out, talking to someone, etc... :confused3

I'm glad your leg is better, I hope you can get back to walking soon! :wizard:

Today was sooooo slow at work. and it was my short day. But slow is good every once in a while. :thumbsup2

Tonight DD has a friend spending the night. This one wakes up real early. and I'm sitting here at midnight.

Didn't get anything done today. Well, actually I did. I walked to the post office and bank (1 mile each way) and on my way back to my office, I saw a couple ladies who walk during lunch each day. One wanted to tell me something, so I fast walk with them while she filled me in on something. Did that for about 10 minutes. So, I got a bit of exercise in today. and I had a very healthy lunch. Didn't get to do the WII tonight as DH took over the TV watching the Olympics. I worked on the computer for a while and then cut coupons.

Nothing exciting this way, other than DS is excited about his soccer games tomorrow and the fact that he is the only one on his team who likes to be the keeper. :thumbsup2 I probably won't go, as I will have the girls :rolleyes1 I hate seeing those huge boys running full speed at my little DS and he is standing his ground to not let the ball in. :scared:

Amy, my weekend is quickly filling up. Help!

Tracy, between my friend's DH and me, we'll keep her down. That's one reason I have her DD tonight.

Amy, you are so right about the kids. They don't even know I am around, unless I am otherwise occupied.

Great job getting some exercise in yesterday, Lisa!:thumbsup2

I hope you have a nice, relaxing weekend!

I hope your weekend is off to a good start! And good luck to your DS for soccer! :wizard: Fortunately DD doesn't play keeper (too nerve racking for me to watch!), but she is on defense. Her coach always says that if the other team scores a goal it's not the keeper's fault, it's the defenders!

Hi Lisa, my weekend is filling up too! I am telling you, weekends wear me out more than about anything.

I hear you on your ds playing with huskier boys. When my son did Karate, it freaked me out to see him sparring with boys that sometimes weighed almost twice what he did.

Good job getting that walk in, two miles at a good pace with the 10 minutes of extra fast walking is a decent workout. :thumbsup2

Thanks Ladies
Weekend was semi busy.

Saturday the girls let me sleep in a little and even got their own breakfast. :thumbsup2 DD can handle cereal as long as the milk carton isn't too full. I was kind of draggin and felt like a was getting a cold. Sneezing and nose running all day. I didn't go to DS' first game since Sophia was still there, but was going to go to his second one. Well, that one got cancelled and they decided to play the first team again. DH called me just a few minutes before the thrown in second game was to start and I hadn't even gotten dressed yet. I knew I wouldn't make it to see even half, so I didn't go. (they won both games and DS only let in one goal in each game) I felt that bad. It was weird though, once the sun went down, I started feeling better. :confused3 I even went out and ran a couple errands. Stayed up way too late. I didn't go to bed until 1:30am. The house just got real quiet and I was online doing stuff. Lost complete track of time. Wouldn't have been bad but......

Sunday morning DD was going to church with Sophia and they were picking her up at 7:00am:eek: On a Sunday. They wanted to go to early church so the guys could go golfing. Since I was up I went ahead and went to the store. I was so tired that one time I was standing in WalMart looking confused. I couldn't remember where something was. An employee even stopped to ask if she could help, and they never do that. I finally got done and of course, had register issues. The cashier was like, I don't understand, it's been working fine. Yep, it's just me. Same CSM as last time had to come over twice. Finally got home, got DD from Sophia's house, went to do the dance studio and realized that they didn't have dance at all last week. I had forgotten. So, back home made dinner, clipped coupons, did laundry. And collasped. I was tired after dinner. DD was also, so I got her in bed early. I let her in my bed and I had my laptop. She asked me what was I always doing on the computer. I showed her the web site I was on and explained how I got paid to do surveys and emails. She wanted to know why I did stuff like that. I told her it was for Disney money. That is how I help pay for our trips. She was like "I really want to go to SeaWorld this year" I told her that I had found a new web site and if I could earn enough money off of it to help pay for the tickets then we would. She promptly laid back down and said "You can work now" :lmao: Didn't hear another peep out of her.

I did feel better Sunday, but with only 4 hours sleep and a full day I was tired.

Not having enough sleep can really wreak havoc on your body. I hope you are able to get back into a routine soon! :wizard:

Lisa, I am lauging about the wal mart employee asking if you needed help, I didn't know that was even possible! Hope you get caught up on your sleep.

I hope you get to go to Sea World! Dd and I went one day just the two of us in June and it was wonderful. We had done the one in San Diego a few years ago but I liked the Orlando version better. Except for the weather in San Diego is way better! Keep up those surveys, Shamu wants to meet you!

We used to have a Sea World here, but it closed several years ago. :( I loved that place. :lovestruc I've never been to the one in Orlando though. Maybe some day. :goodvibes

What new site are you doing to earn money? I'm always looking for new ones. :thumbsup2

I hope you were able to get some sleep. :wizard:

Have a great Tuesday!

Amy and Amy

Lack of sleep was my fault this weekend, so I need to behave myself better. I felt like when I was a teen and get fussed at for being sleepy in church. I just lost track of time.

Tracy
No new web sites, but I thought I would list the ones I am active on. Maybe we could swap site ideas.:goodvibes
I have learned through all of these that the more active you are, the more requests you get ones you can actually qualify for.

Mypoints - my best one (points for coupons also)
Inboxdollars - easy
Sunshine Rewards - never be as good as you on this one.
Mysurvey.com - easy surveys (get test products also)
Marie Brighton - more easy surveys, just not as many (get test products also)
Neilson Home Scan - scan purchased items every week and download
Opinion Outpost - I seem to qualify for these in spurts
Lightspeed panel - hard to qualify sometimes
SimpleGPT - I'm getting the hang of it
Quick Rewards - still learning this one
Zoom panel - points for merchandise only, no cash
Erewards - survey $$ for college through Upromise
Winster.com - play games for points for small GC or prize
There are some others that I have signed up for, but couldn't figure out.

Needless to say, I don't get to all of these every night.
I also check Mypoints, Inbox and SR when I make an online purchase and go with whomever has the best deal at the time.

Lisa, you and Tracy always give me good ideas. I NEED to try some of this stuff out. Whether its rewards in the form of cash or merchandise, every little bit helps.

Hope today was a good one for you and I hope you are getting caught up on your sleep!

Thanks Amy
Yes, try some of the web sites, Mypoints is completely my favorite. So easy and once a year I cash out for GCs for our trip. You mainly just read emails and do surveys. I also print coupons and you get points for using them. :thumbsup2

I forgot one, Mycokerewards.com. Got lots of good GCs from this one last year. So far this year, I have gotten $100 in Nike GCs and paid for DS' new shoes that he was able to customize. I was like "over $100 for a pair of shoes???":scared1: but, because of the GCs he was able to get them and they are cool.

Yesterday, I ended up taking a nap when I got home. I hit the wall and had to lay down and kind of dozed for a while. Thankfully DD is old enough now that I can do this. Of course, I did hear when DH got home. He asked if she had been good whille I was laying down and she confessed that she watched a few minutes of a tv show I don't like her to watch. DH thanked her for being honest and made her turn of the tv and she didn't complain. Just went in her room to play. No whining, tears or pouting. :confused3 The aliens did bring my real child back a couple hours later. :lmao:

Did the WII last night and got in 50 minutes. Odd thing, at 45 minutes it wanted me to stop and rest for 10 minutes. :confused3 I didn't though. Went on and did the one last thing I wanted to complete.

One of the sites I do for extra $$ took off the main money maker. Knew it was too good to be true. Plus I haven't gotten the straight surveys in over a week. :confused3 The other stuff is hard for me to figure out, but I'll try. If I can't, I'll just cash out and close the account, but I was really counting on this one as part of my Disney $$. Oh well, I am really good at refiguring and adjusting budgets.

Speaking of budgets, DH is completely determined to destroy mine. And I think I have figured out the problem. At work, our budget keeps being cut, but they keep expecting us to carry on as usual and even give us new stuff to fit in. That is carrying over to home.
A friend of his from bowling has been out of work for a year now and her DH's work as really been cut back. She has picked up some sub work at a day care and started cleaning houses. DH finally convinced me to let her do our house. Like we can afford it. But I finally agreed cause I am having such a hard time with my allergies when I clean. Hopefully having someone else do it will help. Just have to add it into the already tight budget. Plus, it is just weird to me to have someone else clean my house.

Then DH need some new outside equipment. He got a 10% off and no interest for 12 months from Home Depot and went and got a new tiller, shelves for DD's room and a new thermastat for the second AC unit. Another bill for me to add in. (deep sigh) Plus I had to re-adjust our withholdings cause we owe on taxes for the very first time ever. :confused3 :sad2:

Tiller is needed for several things and he has tried to borrow from a couple of friends, but they just haven't worked for what he needed. Plus, I will finally get a true garden area which will help with the grocery bill.

Thermastat seems to be working better. I never really thought of a thermastat making your unit run more, but I think the old one was. That side of the house seem to have a more regulated temp now. Tonight, when we get below freezing, will be the true test. Plus we got another huge electric bill, so we need to do something.

I hope everyone has a great day today.

Are you talking about Simple? I was so upset that they lost the paid clicks. :( Also, it looks like the payout on surveys at SR is going down too. :(

Great job on your Wii workout!:cheer2:

Sending some budget :wizard::wizard: your way. I hope the new thermostat shows you some savings on your electric bill soon. :wizard:

Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Sounds like the purchases you made are going to save you money in the long run, so hopefully it's not too painful in the present!

That stinks about your survey sites, maybe more will come along someday.

Great job getting that workout in!

I agree, those purchases will save money. Its the old "spend money to make money". But it always freaks me out to spend when I am trying to save!

Enjoy having your house cleaned. Honestly, I think any woman that works who can at all afford it should have that done. Your time on the weekends should be spent doing more than cleaning. With most of my friends its the husband who balks at this, so if yours is willing, go for it and know you have earned it!

Yes, Tracy, I was talking about Simple. I had just figured it out and was in a practice of doing it at a certain time each day. Plus, I was actually reading a lot of the ones I would click on and learning about their companies. Was going to be some nice $$. But as I have learned well, that if it is too good to be true, than it usually doesn't last. Oh well.

Amy, yes you are right and I know you have to spend money to save, but that much at one time. :headache: But in the long run it will all work out. :goodvibes

Amy, you are right on the web sites. There are always new ones coming out. The trick is to get in on them when they are new. I am suddenly noticing some new ones, but don't know if they are just new to me. :confused3

Sorry I haven't been around. Same old story. Internet. Weird thing is the one at work has been flaky also. Every time I would be able to get on, after a couple minutes it would go out again. Finally is working today.

Past couple of days has been really bad food wise and I also royally messed up my medicine that makes my food even worse. :headache: Finally have it all straightened out and food was back to being a good day.

Also today was my off day and I actually got a day off. :thumbsup2
Dropped off recycling, had the termite inspection done, ran errands, had a really good trip to CVS and am now getting to "talk" to my friends. :goodvibes

Tonight DH wants to go to the Hocky game and tomorrow DD and I have hair appts in the morning and are going to watch a friend's DD in the regional Jr. Miss pagent in the evening. Yep, gearing up to be a busy weekend again.

DS will be going to a referee clinic all day both days so he can ref the little kids soccer games. The local organization will pay for the clinic if he signs a one year contract with them. :thumbsup2 Not sure what DH is going to do this weekend, probably play with his new toys.
