Hi Lisa, I hope you had a wonderful trip to WDW, I can't wait to hear all about it!

Hi all :wave2: I can't believe how long it has been since I have posted on here. I have tried numerous times, but either lose my internet connection or someone needs my attention or my computer. Such is life.

We had a wonderful time at Disney. Bay Lake Towers was great. Our room was on the 14th floor and considered to be a Lake View. When standing on the balcony, we could see Space Mountain and the Castle perfectly. We could even watch the fireworks at night. The room was set up odd though and the sleeping area was very small. The four of us felt like we were tripping over each other the entire week. The crowds weren't bad and all of our ADRs were great. I highly recommend the Yachtsman and Teppan Edo. Both were fabulous.

I am going to do several small posts as I have had to start over this morning. I was almost done with a long post and lost it. :confused3 Again......

After Disney, we had a visit with the lawyer for Gram. He said she has nothing to worry about as the man who purchased the property granted her a Life Estate and can't revoke it just because he has changed his mind. That is wonderful and I am very confident in him. Looks like we may be going to court though. The man is not accepting what the lawyer is telling him. (sigh) He keeps bothering Gram, asking her when she is moving. I do hope this is settled soon.

When we returned from Disney, we began decorating for Christmas. We put up six trees (okay two are table tops in the kids rooms) plus something goes in every room, even the bathrooms. We love to decorate.

The 11th we had our party at our house. 55 people including the kids. A house full and a wonderful time.

The 14th was our party at work. I do a Christmas tree (secret santa) there for after lunch. I am the Secret Santa and go to the dollar store to get presents, wrap them and then we play a game. Everyone gets a present and when it is your turn, you can steal someone else's or go to the tree. I did 65 presents this year. Lots of wrapping! :faint: So much fun though!

The 17th I was able to attend DD's party at school. The first time I have been able to attend since PreK. After the party, she was able to leave for the day and we spent the afternoon together. :goodvibes
In the evening April came to get her to look at Christmas lights. She was able to get a sitter for her Dad and was able to take her Mother out. After their tour, April brought the girls back and Chloee spent the night. The next night DD went to April's for the night so DH and I could finish up our shopping. We expected lots of traffic and long lines, but didn't experience either. Very odd. :confused3

One more party. On the 20th we had another work party in the evening. This one was for the higher supervisors only and was held at a friend's house. We went early to help them and then stayed to clean up. Small group, but a wonderful time. I was kind of dragging the next day.

Thankfully work was quiet this past week. I only had to work three days and Wednesday dragged. Thursday I spent finishing up the shopping and began wrapping. DD and I made cookies and then I wrapped some more.

Friday April and I met early to walk (we did 7 miles) and I made a couple stops on the way home. Once home, I finished up the wrapping and then made pies. We went to Christmas Eve services at the church were DH and I were married. The restuarant were we normally eat dinner was closed so we ended up in the McDonalds drive through. We were in a small town so not much to chose from at 7:00pm.

When we got home, we read the night before Christmas and then began watching the Polar Express. DD was so tired that she went to bed at 9:00 and was asleep by 9:05.

Christmas Day was wonderful for us and I pray it was for everyone else.

It was a cold, rainy and dreary outside, but warm and festive inside. Our oldest DS came after work and spent the night to be here in the morning and it was wonderful to be all together. Gram came over later in the morning and then stayed the day. We watched Christmas movies and ate way too much. DD and oldest DS tried to ride their new bikes but it was much too windy and cold for them. DD kept looking for snow. I think this was one of the best Christmas Day's I have ever spent.

April and I leave for Disney in 11 days for the 1/2 marathon.
I having been wavering between concern that we wouldn't be ready and convinced that our determination will see us to the finish line. We have been doing our best with training but not how I would have liked. Friday we did 7 miles and on the way home I was experiencing a few doubts. Then I realized that the track we were on has a huge hill yet we kept pace the entire time. Every 1/4 mile we had the hill so four times a mile we walked it. I realized that if we could do that then we should be fine. We plan to walk a couple times in the evenings this week and then again for a long walk on Friday. I think we will be okay. But a few prayers sent our way couldn't hurt. :goodvibes

Welcome back Lisa. I have been wondering what you've been up to. I'm glad to hear you had a wonderful Christmas with your family and that the issues with your Gram will be resolved soon. I'm sure you will do just fine at the half marathon. I think t's normal to have a few doubts. I bet the excitement of the day will keep you moving!!

Lisa,

I am so glad to see you on here, I figured you were just super busy with the holidays and all after you got back from WDW. I have read many times those BLT studios are cramped, but I guess the location makes up for it! I would love to stay there someday.:) We love Yachtsmen, its our favorite "nice" meal in WDW, I am so glad you enjoyed it too!

I know you will be fine for the 1/2 marathon. The big hill on your tack at home is good prep for you! Good job with keeping up your training in spite of such a busy time of year.

We love to decorate too, we also have trees and/or decor in each room, its fun (until you have to take it all down lol).

Merry Christmas!!!:santa:

Hi Lola and Amy. Thanks for coming back my friends. :goodvibes

Yesterday was very cold for us, low 30s, so there was no outside walking to be done. Today is sunny but only getting into the low 40s. By the time I am home and able to get to the track it will be low 30s again. DH actually said last week that perhaps we should get a treadmill so I can walk indoors when the weather is not good outdoors. :thumbsup2 I think he finally realized my frustrations at not being able to get out.

Temps look promising for the marathon weekend. I know it is still real early but right now the temps are Highs low 70s and Lows mid 50s. Would like for it to be a bit cooler on race day, but I'll take it. No snow, sleet, rain or freezing temps and I'll be happy. Of course, I am planning for cold just in case. Already been to the thrift store for my throw away jacket.

Received our ME documents last week. You should see how excited two grown women can get about bus passes and luggage tags. :rotfl2: Good thing no one was around to see the happy dancing.

We don't have dance for two weeks due to the Holidays and I really miss it. If I can't get out tonight, then I will get out the zumba dvd and have DD do it with me. We'll be stuck in the bedroom, Saints are on tonight, but hmmmm.....:scratchin there are two of us and one of him, plus he can watch the Saints on the bedroom tv. Ladies, I think there just might be a tv takeover tonight. Much easier to zumba on the wood floor versus the carpet. ::yes::

I hope everyone had just as wonderful of a Christmas weekend as I did. It was great.

I'm glad to hear that you had a nice Christmas with your family, Lisa! :goodvibes

Thanks for the info about BLT and the size of the studio. My DH and I were thinking about renting a studio there someday, but if it's a bit cramped, we may pass until we can afford to rent a one or two bedroom there.

That's great news from the lawyer!:thumbsup2 I hope the neighbor isn't bothering your gram about the land issue. :( If he is, maybe your attorney can contact him and remind him about the Life Estate. I hope everything works out for your gram and soon!:wizard:

You are going to do a great job at the 1/2, Lisa!:cheer2: I'm glad that the temps look promising for it. :sunny:

I hope you have a great day today!

Well, no walking for me tonight and no Zumba. DD hit her head earlier and was very whiny afterward. She has quite a shiner. I knew if I started it she would want to join me, so I made popcorn and we watched a movie instead. She is acting fine now, but I didn't want her jumping around for a while. Tomorrow I will walk. I get an hour three times a week at work and I try to do those Tue, Wed and Thur.

Tracy, the lawyer has called the neighbor once and he still came back to bother Gram. He is acting almost desperate. I kind of feel sorry for him in that respect. That he must have such a problem that he would resort to harrassing an elderly lady. :sad2: But, I will stand firm in my resolve. She shouldn't have to move until she is ready. Nor should she have to pay. Taking it one day at a time and praying nothing happens while I am gone.

Oh Lisa. I'm sorry for what you and your Gram are going through with this man. I hope everything works out for you soon!:wizard:

You're in the single digits for your trip!!! I'm so excited for you!:cool1: You are going to do such a great job at the 1/2!!!:cheer2:

Have a wonderful day!

Lisa, I can't believe your Gram's neighbor is doing this, as you say, what kind of man does this to an elderly lady? I hope very soon he realizes he is just out of luck and figures out something else to obsess about!

So sorry dd hit her head, but a movie popcorn night is never a bad thing!

I am afraid your cold weather is coming from me. Sorry bout that!

Single digits, you lucky lady! I can't remember, where are you staying?

Happy New Year!!!!!

Things are beginning to fall into place. Did my last long walk this past Friday. April and I walked at the track by her house. I figure we did 9-10 miles. This is the track that is on the side of a hill. Every lap is up hill/down hill. Add in the wind that was blowing and we got quite a work out. :thumbsup2 Rained on us a couple of times, but I told her that was good practice as we may very well have a bit of rain Friday for the 5K. Dance is tonight, walking Tuesday and Wedensday for 45 minutes each. Thursday we will spend the evening walking around Epcot. I can't believe I just said Thursday, as in THIS THURSDAY! :woohoo: I have begun gathering things to take but nothing is actually in the suitcase yet. I might begin that process this afternoon. Can't be too early you know. :rotfl:

Here is our projected schedule:Wednesday - April will spend the night at my house as we have to leave at 6:00am for the airport. She lives 30 minutes in the opposite direction so opted to not have any last minute issues with getting our day started. :thumbsup2

Flight home is at 3:00pm :sad1:

Tracy
The lawyer suggested that I get insurance for Gram's trailer. We have tried in the past and no one would insure it. Finally found a company who would do minimum insurance. It's not as expensive as I thought and I am helping her pay it, so she should be okay. For some reason the lawyer thought this would keep the neighbor happy. Not sure why. :confused3 But insurance is something I have wanted her to have for a long time.

Amy
So this is your cold air. :cold: I was so surprised Saturday morning when I got up. It was warm and muggy Friday evening while we were out doing fireworks and all. We had lots of rain too, but we could use that .
We are staying at POP. A lot of the WISHers stay there and the WISH meet is there Friday evening, so I thought it would be a good place to stay. It's full though for the weekend, so I hope they have lots of extra buses available.

Lisa
Hey there do you believe it is here already???? We leave Thursday too.Our schedules are similar. We are doing AK on Friday too and MK on Sunday.

Well I sure hope we are ready.I am a nervous wreck and I have done this before. This nasty cold could leave now- pray for me that it doesn't go to my chest.

Stay healthy and good luck

Linda
