Me: Still organising
DH: Still too laid back
DD: Happy having made several purchases at Epcot
DS: On a powerade Day
Tuesday December 27th
Again we were up bright and early for a quick Starbucks in the hotel lobby before a very short drive to IOA. The hotel was walking distance but after seeing the eight lane highway we needed to cross to get there we thought we'd rather pay the parking fee and stay alive.
DH & the kids headed straight for Hulk and got a couple of goes under their belt before the queue built up. I headed off to FP Spiderman for later only to find all the FP machines covered over. Didn't think much of this at the time but it turned out there was no Universal FP at all during our holiday unless you paid $35 per ticket per park to upgrade your tickets to Express Plus (needless to say we didn't we just got there early and did busy rides asap before crowds arrived).
We managed a couple of goes on Spiderman and DD & DS did Doctor Dooms Fearfall before crowds got too bad then took a leisurely stroll to Toon Lagoon & Jurassic Park. We decided against Popeye's Bilge barges & the Jurrasic River Adventure as it was a bit too chilly for getting that wet & the Ripsaw falls were closed for renovation anyway. DS wanted to go on the Pteranodon flyers and the queue was only 30 minutes for once so he headed in only to be told he is now too tall!
DD & DH rode Duelling Dragons whilst DS & I did the flying Unicorn (thrilling!) then off to Poseidons Fury (the water tunnel always amazes me). We arrived in Seuss Landing just in time to see The Grinch re-enactment (kids loved it especially Max the dog who was so cute!) then off to lunch at the Croissant Moon Bakery.
DS fancied the Matt Hoffman stunt show after lunch. Have to say he loved it but he is only 9 the rest of us weren't impressed. It was very short and not anything you couldn't see at a local skateboard park at home.
We went back to Seuss Landing for a quick go on Cat in the Hat then decided to call it a day and go off to Mall at Millennia for some retail therapy. As usual the shops there were lovely but we didn't buy anything as it's all much cheaper at the Premium Outlets. We did stop by the food court for an early dinner DH & I had some delicious Teryaki chicken the kids had pizza then we went off to Downtown Disney to catch an evening showing of the fabulous Chicken Little (guarantee you will all love it. I won't spoil it by telling you anything about it but it really is sweet & well worth seeing when it comes over here)
Then it was back to the hotel to rest up our tired tootsies for...... MGM
