again - thank you everyone! it means alot as i am starting to freak out (but in a good way) to hear some voices of encouragement!
the vinylmations i did and just used both paint pens (some of which i am bringing for people to sign with) and a little bit of acrylic paint. i glued on the veil (whacked a piece off the poor veil i bought at michaels and promptly ruined when i tried to IRON it. hey, i used the lowest setting...) and found some faux fur at the craft store and glued a little goatee to his chin! i am very happy with them! we had 2 small ones that i waas going to do something to as well, but they were too tiny to write on and we hvae 87 things as trinkets around the room. actually, i got all inspired and painted them to match our dogs! ha!
so, we are tying up loose ends right now. mailed my dress off this morning - thank goodness UPS works on MLK day! we totally forgot about that! it should get there thursday. its in a medium sized brown box (inside its garment bag with a cardboard dress form the seamstress stuck in the bodice) and folded around itself kind of 1 1/2 times, f that gives anyone an idea of how to squish it in there. so it isn't totally wadded up or anything. the box shipped, insured and trackable, for only like $22. i thought it was going to be $100! so that was good.
i did some housecleaning today, we are leaving all the pets at home and his aunt is going to be our pet sitter. so i had to clean our floors anyway, so i rolled up the living room carpet where the dogs will be and cleaned the whole floor. so there isn't a carpet in the living room, bt we don't have to do that last minute and the little tidbits under the carpet would have made me insane and want to clean it the night before we left, which would be bad.
we all have the packing piles going. i am stressing over the cost of our luggage and how to fit stuff in. especially shoes. i have several shoes i need and it is a pain. we will be on the cruise after and i am bringing a couple more dresses to wear to dinner and it seems that i don't have one all encompassing pair of shoes that are passable with each outfit, IMHO.
i think we have everything paid for - just trying to get all our tips in order as well. we shipped down also 2 boxes of wedding stuff - our ear tophats, programs, table markers, confetti and all the stuff for our welcome bags. i impulsively bought some of those little popper things for cheap but know i am betting you shouldn't take those on a plane. so maybe for our at home recetion shin dig when we get our DVDs back.
also, miles appears to have a snuffly cold, and trace started sneezing today. isn't that just the way?! i am avoiding the two of them and trace just went off to buy some airborne and we are loading up on vitamin c.
im checking the weather, and am now fixated on what do we do if we get rained out of our MK photo shoot? i wish it would be sunny (even if it is 8 degrees out) on the wedding day so our pictures will look all warm and pretty! right now, its (of course) rainiest on the wedding day at 60% chance of showers. i know how the florida weather is, so i know that can mean alot, but i just hope we can enjoy our family/group park time on monday, not get wet monday morning and afternoon and not get rained out of MK the next morning.
also i have come to peace with the fact that 8 hundred thousand people have now already been cruising on the Dream! i hope someone has checked out the toilets in cabin #6550!!!
we leave thursday morning. tomorrow i have my last session with my personal trainer. wednesday i am getting the mani/pedi treatment. still not sure what i wll do with my nails - gel french manicure or doing gel nails, still short but one of mine just broke so i whaked them all down.
also - note to self: buy pasties at the mall. to prevent the wardrobe malfunctions.
