We are very anxious, I still can't believe Monday is the 10th! LOL I have off that day so there will be major wedding organizing going on!

I am so excited (and exhausted) lol

We dyed the crinoline PINK! It came out great...pics to follow this weekend I didn't quite follow the directions but it still came out great, thank goodness!

We also had our caricature done and it came out great! I have the pic up on my facebook and will put it in my PJ this weekend ♥

Eek...getting so much done! Tomorrow we will pick up Rob's suit

Our Story


After getting engaged I immediately trolled the Disboards and found this great Disney bride, Goldeelox9! Her Disney blog was AMAZING to say in the least and I knew then, "That is what I want! I want to get married on the Disney Cruise Line!" DF and I were fortunate to take a Bahamas cruise in August of 2009 (on the Norwegian Sky) and loved it! I knew that our guests would like it too and felt that getting married on a private island sounded luxurious!!! I found Goldeelox9 on facebook of all places! I emailed her and told her how her planning journal helped me decide on my wedding and if she could give me any input that would be wonderful! Goldeelox9 has been more than helpful and now my wedding is BOOKED! I am happy to say that my DF and I will be getting married on October 30, 2011 which is the 4 night Bahamas cruise! We are so excited and cannot wait to share our day with family and friends...

Will post details on the wedding...planning...and this crazy journey of life with my DF!

I am so happy my lost package came in from the Vendor (minus one iron transfer uhhhh) so tomorrow on my day off hoodies and tanks will be made and packaged to be sent to Disney...

I went to Coach...oh how I love that store...well let me clarify I go to the Coach Factory store when they give me an additional 30% off

I got the following as thank you gifts:

Best Man leather wallet
Sister/MOH Silver wristlet
My mother/his mother Black passport holders, they were gorgeous!

I am going to the nail salon tomorrow and getting gift cards for both moms and my sis to get their nails done and will be in their gift..

We also have one box completely packed for Disney I even went to label and SEAL the boxes inside for easy finding and will not have them spilling out everywhere...We now need to pick up a second large box today from Staples to send out the welcome bags in...

I so have to get a pic of the caricature up, will try to get that tonight...it came out great

Here is the post of major progress...

I dyed the crinoline..in my arsenal was the following:

I only needed one bottle of the liquid dye, I had three on hand just in case though

First I started the washing cycle for the longest on the warmest temperature:

The water looked so red I was a bit scurred at first... I kept on going through though!

I went to the shower and completely submerged the crinoline in a big tub of water in a tupperware container I had. I then brought the crinoline and submerged it into the water in the washer....

I let it go through one 30 min cycle then returned the dial to have it agiate for another 30 mins...now at this point I had my two girlfriends over and one brought her daugther Carmen who did the caraciature while we were waiting...we ordered dinner and sadly the crinoline went into HIGH speed, I thought it was all over it came out all tied together!!!!

My one girlfriend kicked me out the laundry room and handled the crinoline and was able to get it all straightened out, my suggestion Do NOT allow it to go into the high spin folks!

Here is a pic of it on the hanger (please note I didn't have pants hangers thus my lame attempt to get it on the hanger so it can dry!

We let it air dry in the shower, I was not chancing the dryer!

Overall a VERY easy process I am so glad I did it! My shoes have dyed a hot pink so the contrast will be amazing!

Here is a finished product of the caricature my girlfriend's daughter did, she is SO talented!

Yes we have so much done it is a nice feeling! I cannot wait to be on vacation, and married, I cannot believe we will finally be Mr. and Mrs.!!!!!

Hello all!

Figured I would catch up on here with all that has been going on.

The lost package, the bling for the shirts came in finally. It was missing Maid of honor and yeah I am still waiting for that! I did make up all the other tanks and hoodies, they look awesome! I will try to get some photos up this weekend

We went to the Fed Ex store and mailed two LARGE boxes. Cost 87 dollars but so worth it to not have to lug it around the airport then to Pop then to the Dream. They said it would be there by Monday.

I did get pretty stinky news today, Shanda told me the characters I requested for our wedding Mickey and Minnie were unavailable due to Halloween/our wedding being CC day. I was crushed alllllll day but I am slowly getting over it. I told my fiance that I think the only thing to bring out of this funk is to get my hands on an Ipad 2

Overall I am feeling pretty good getting things done. We are going clothes shopping, again, on Friday. DF wants more t-shirts which I don't know why but I am going along with him on it lol A girl pretty much always wants to shop I am so looking forward to next week, my 4 day work week then off to get married!!!!!

I read your bad news on the cruise brides page. You will get some great Halloween pictures with the characters...none of us can do that. (I was oblivious that I could even get characters)

I cannot wait to see pictures of your shirts and hoodies. I am sure the girls will LOVE them! You have been very busy! I agree with you that the 87 dollars is very worth not having to lug stuff all over the state of Florida!

I cannot believe you are leaving next week to get MARRIED!! That time has gone SO fast!!

Sorry to hear about the characters. There is always something that is not going to go as you planned at the wedding so hopefully you just got yours out of the way early Good thing is you will still be able to get some pictures with them maybe with bride and groom ears on?!

You must be getting so anxious, it's going to be a long 4 day work week!

So I think this is pretty much summing up all that we have done for our wedding as we leave Sat at 5 AM for the airport!

The hoodies/tanks are done and came out great:

I also made a shirt for my Father and Uncle:

Used Vistaprint for the shirts and got them for 2 bucks each!!

I had my shower at work today and it was great! Got a nice card, some cash for the wedding (always a wonderful thing! lol) and a beautiful Mickey/Minnie frame as well as another smaller frame...I was in heaven at work talking about Disney with everyone that would listen!

We are pretty much packed...I keep thinking I won't have enough clothes even though I am sure I overpacked! lol I am washing my new jeans as we speak b/c they are a dark wash and don't want the color getting all over everything while we are away

Pretty soon we will be married! Mr. and Mrs., I like the sound of that!

Eeek...I could not sleep last night and I feel like a zombie today! lol I have last minute errands...just checked in all of us for our 8 AM flights tomorrow and cleaned the house a bit for our doggie sitter...

I am already exhausted and it is only 11:20 AM!!! lol
