Is there a liquor store really close to WDW? Just want to pick up a couple of things before we get there.

On a similar note, can you purchase beer, wine, or liquor at grocery stores in Florida? We were planning to do a grocery stop and didn't know if we'd have to make a separate stop at a liquor store. Thanks!

Most Walgreen's down here have a liquor store attached.

Yes, you can buy beer and wine inside grocery stores. And many stores have an attached liquor store that sells the harder items.

Kissimmee is on the way to DW from the airport. Tons of liquor stores, gas stations and grocery stores. I know we stopped on our way into the park.

There are stores at the many local groceries but, if you are on property many resorts have liquor sales in them.
For example the Contemporary has a store that sells (or did at last check) newspapers,magazines,spirits cigars???,and various other items and also I believe I saw some items behind the counter at Saratoga Springs restaurant/store just off the carriage house (artists palette?)

probably Walmart or Target - might be Publix - but I really think one of the discount stores.

There is a Winn-Dixie a just a few minutes away from Goodings. I found the prices were a lot less than Goodings which is supposedly on WDW property. They had a wide selection of wine, beer and liquor. Here is the address and phone

Do not go to Goodings! It is ridiculously overpriced. (Goes for the grocery store as much as the liquor store.)

There is a huge ABC Liquor Store in the Winn Dixie plaza a few blocks up 535. Not only does it have a better selection, the prices are much lower.

If you go the other way on 535, there is also a Walgreens Liquor that is not bad on prices, though much smaller than ABC.

with a car - Walmart

without a car - the Hess gas station across the street from the Boardwalk. (it's a 3-5 min. walk and the beer, Mike's lemonade, soda, water, etc was cheap... oh yeah, cigarettes were cheap there too from what my friend said - I don't know 'cause I don't smoke)

the gas station across from BW and DTD sells beer and it is not marked up
