Can I just say how awesome liquor store boxes are when moving? Free, sturdy, and plentiful. If you don't know, you really should.

There are just wonderful for moving glasses especially. I still use ours from 12 years ago to store Christmas glasses.

you can also get boxes that bananas come in here, at the grocery store (very sturdy and have handles)..and awesome big boxes that they get their floral deliveries in..I still have some of each ..and we moved 10 years ago..lol

Free boxes are awesome. Those 25lb produce boxes are great too. The last time I packed stuff up, some guy bought a lot of stuff off amazon or something, and was giving away all the packing materials. There were tons of boxes, and only like 3 sizes so they all stacked so nice and easily.

Yes! I love the dividers for breakables, especially.

I've never had luck getting boxes from grocery stores. Seems like they immediately go to the compactor once they're emptied.

Lol, made me remember when I was a kid. We moved around a lot & my folks would always head over to the package store to get boxes.

ICCCKKKK!!!! Several years ago, I was preparing to move, and had rounded up a ton of boxes from my local beer store, and grocery store... as I was pulling them out of the trunk of my car I saw a roach....
:scared1: MUCH screaming and flailing and running about ensued. I then flung what I thought was the offending box across the yard, and heart still racing, skin having the "creepy crawleys" aside, tried to resume my duties...

That's when I saw many more of various sizes creeping out of a few more boxes. As you can imagine, out came more screaming, and now, near hysterics, much to the dismay of my neighbors. :confused3

I have moved 3 times since then, and have NEVER EVER used a box from a beer/liquor/grocery store!!! I will buy my boxes at home depot, or U-haul!!! This last time, just a couple months ago, I actually bought totes, that way they are reusable for replacing cardboard boxes of stored (attic)items ie: winter/summer clothes swaps and holiday decorations. I taped plastic bags (painters tape so it doesn't damage) over my drawers and left the clothes in them, put them back into the dressers once they were the truck.

Thank goodness this was my absolute last move, unless I move to WDW!!!:cool1:

PS: I made my (then) boyfriend fumigate my whole car 3x, and wouldn't drive it for about 2 weeks!!! :lmao:

can you tell I hate bugs????
