Will be at Disney the last two weeks of May and it is usually hot. Has anyone here had experience carrying a tube of lipstick. I am wondering if it will melt. I know this is silly but I have lost the color in my lips and I like wearing it.

I don't quite carry lipstick, but I do have a gloss that is in stick form with a color tint. Never had an issue with it melting. Pretty sure they are made to withstand hot weather.

If you're carrying it in a bag and going in and out of attractions/AC you shouldn't have any problem. If you leave it in a car or have it in a sweaty pocket, yes, it will if hot enough. I've had enough chapstick containers melt into blobs in my car to always keep them in a small ziploc bag now but I never had trouble with one in my small park bag, even if sitting outside for a couple hours waiting for the parade, etc.

My experience in April was that our Chapstick and stick sunscreen melted, I expect a tube of lipstick would be melty too.

I carry Mary Kay Liquid Lipgloss - many have real color too them and are not shear. I would Consider something like that for use in the heat. (I use it every day including in the parks - so I know it's okay in the heat there!)

I've carried plenty of lipsticks and mostly in a belt bag that sits on my hip and none have ever melted! A little softer at the end of the day, maybe, but I put them in the hotel fridge for a couple minutes and good as new! I also carry SPF lip balm because lip sunburn is awful (and dangerous).

I keep my lipstick in my purse and have never had it melt, even at disney in July.

I always wear/carry it and it never melts or anything.

If you are worried about it, Sephora has little clear plastic tubs with lids (what they provide samples of liquid products in) that I'm sure you could snag. You could scrape off some lipstick into the tub, and use a q-tip or even your pinky to apply in the parks. You won't risk ruining your whole tube of lipstick, and if it melts, it's contained.

I always carry a lipstick because my mouth is pretty sensitive. I carry it on my pocket and never had any problem with that.
Here in Brazil the prices for the lipsticks are expansive so I always get them on walmart or walgreens when I arrive and then carry to the parks (and to Brazil too lol)

I always buy 3 types: blistex, carmex and EOS :)

I carry Buxom lip gloss and am usually fine. Lipstick will not melt unless you leave it someplace that really heats up like your car.

I agree with tinted lipgloss or the like-my lipstick has melted just on an evening out in my bag before my tin of Vaseline didn't have a chance but things which are already 'liquid' faired much better with the heat!

Have a fun trip!

I use a 24 hr lipstick so I don't have to carry it. I think it is by Cover Gitl or Maybelliene. It is two steps-- color, let dry, and then gloss.

I use a lip stain in the parks, but for the life of me I can't remember the brand. My lips may not be shiny, but they have some color no matter what. That stuff is tenacious.

I apply it before we leave for the day, and don't carry it in the parks.

I had this same concern, and a great product to try is Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain. It's a crayon product that does not melt. It stains your lips so you don't have to reapply often, but it's not drying. Used it on my last two trips, one in August. Worked great.

I've had both lip stick and the body shop lip butter and neither have melted for me either. I guess it would all depend on brand and what not as well if it melts or not since they may make them differently.

I have often had the priblem with my lips chapping and burning, especially at WDW in summer when we are in sun and sweating every day for a week. Last year i took Neutrogen revitalizing lip balm SPF 20. It comes on several nice colors andnis smaller than the a regular lipstick so easy to fit in a pocket or small zippered pouch. It worked quite well
