Lion King Theme, Anyone?

Hi there!

We are considering doing a Lion King themed wedding late next year but am having the hardest time finding any inspiration!

I think it would be so unique! my DF LOVES Lion King.. it's his favorite movie. I would suggest looking into the Animal Kingdom locations for the ceremony and/or reception. http://disneyweddings.disney.go.com...s/reception/theme-parks/animal-kingdom/detail

I think it would be easier to romanticize "Africa" in general rather than Lion King specifically. Try incorporating dark woods into your decor and deep jewel tones, or go with a more savanna feel with bright colors. Pick you're favorite animal from the movie and focus on the related colors, patterns etc.

I would start thinking colors. Like I would go with sunset colors or you could go with golds with browns and deep purples or greens go with colors that will look good next to you and on your bridesmaids.

Then I would steal decor ideas from Animal Kingdom park and the lodge. Like you could incorporate some animal print as table runners on your cocktail tables just don't go crazy a little goes along way. You could incorporate old fashioned kerosene style camp lights (Ive seen these in home goods with battery lights or candles)

You could go so many ways with this from fun campy to elegant safari.
Ok I'll stop and let you go back to planning your wedding and I'll go back to planning mine lol. Ak was my dream wedding location. I'll have to settle for the photoshoot though since it wasn't in my budget for a wedding location.
