Lion king reboot on Disney channel?

Eh Disney Junior so I would hardly call it a reboot. Unless you consider like Jake and the Neverland Pirates to be a reboot of Peter Pan? Because this is just another preschooler show like that which really isn't likely remotely cannon relevant....still I do love that at least they aren't retconning Kiara's existence, and part of me hopes that her and Kovu can maybe do guest appearances (or become recurring characters on the show down the line) to expose the next generation to these previous ignored characters and maybe we can finally get some nice merchandise that featuring them that we did not get from the TLK2 cheapquel. (although really TLK2 is probably the one direct to video sequel that really doesn't entirely deserve to be called a cheapquel. I mean that animation was not completely terrible compared to like what the Aladdin sequels got, the story was pretty decent (although Simba's portrayal was a bit unfavorable at times), and the music has some outstanding numbers ("He Lives in You" is particular is an incredibly powerful number which is why it became one of the signature pieces of the Lion King's Broadway run where anytime the cast performed for TV that was the number they did. "My Lullaby" is one of the darker disturbing Disney villain songs. "One of Us" is another powerful emotional song that doesn't really get it's due (although I have to laugh at the various animals like Gazelles and Zebras singing it given that they are probably future Lion food...and yet singing this song as if they are equals of the Lions.). "Upendi" and "Love Will Find Away" were both just okay, they just don't really come close to comparing to "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" or "Hakuna Matata" as the love/fun songs.

The story will premiere as a TV movie in fall of 2015 before going to series the following year on Disney Channel and Disney Junior. While Timon, Pumbaa, Rafiki, Zazu, and Mufasa are set to make appearances, the show will feature an all-new cast of characters that include “Fuli, a confident cheetah; Beshte, a happy-go-lucky hippo; Ono, an intellectual egret; and Bunga, a fearless honey badger.”
"Beshte, a happy-go-lucky hippo"... Yep, we're in trouble.
