Lion King Merchandise in the parks

Anyone recently visited notice any upswing in Lion King merchandise pending the special edition release of the dvd coming up on Oct? I noticed the Disney Store has a ton of Lion King plushies is there anything new in the parks? I am a huge Lion King fan and collector

I just went yesterday and while I didnt step into a lot of the shops the ones I did go to didn't have anything lion king. Then again I only went to MK and DHS...I imagine if you go to Animal there would be some. Im going this friday so if i remember ill look around and report back.

okay thanks I'm really hoping that AK or some of the stores have different LK merchandise than the last time I went.

Lion King will be re-released in Sept. The pre-sale is going on right now at Disney Stores...

I would be so excited if I could get a plush Rafiki while there. Maybe I'll luck out and they'll have some, although I'm not keeping my fingers crossed. I love Rafiki!

Well if they have the same merchandise as the stores then I am sure you can find Rafiki..We have Pumba, Simone, Nala, Simba, Scar,Giraff and Zimbra and oh yea...the Hyenas and of course Rafiki

I know the Disney store I went in on Saturday had a huge selection of Lion King items. DH picked up Nala and said she looked like a pig, her nose had gotten smushed in and she did look like a pig

I overheard the CM tell a lady that the pre-sale would start Monday 8/15.

I was last there in May, and I recall seeing Simba and Nala plush at the Outpost in World Showcase, in addition to various items at AK. I would imagine that with the much bigger selection at the Disney Store now, WDW should be following suit soon, if they haven't yet.

when we were in WDW in June/July, there was a "limited edition" Simba vinylmation. It was 25 dollars...but it came with one of the other vinylmations in a box.

I took a pic with my phone...

I'm hoping DH bought one when i wasn't looking and that it'll appear in my stocking this Christmas

oooo I am not a fan of vinylmation but I will buy anything Simba lol! I hope that's there when we go in a week!
