Good morning! I'm looking for reviews or suggestions on our upcoming trip. Going in June with 2 adults (me, 34, and my mom, 60) and 3 kids (my son, 4, niece, 12, step-nephew 13). We are staying 5 nights with heavy park time. Price difference is $540 as of now without any discounts. I am an AP holder so I'm hoping to be able to add a discount later. For AoA, I love the theme and having an in-room microwave is a plus. Not crazy about having two full beds. For Pop, getting a refurbished room (I know not guaranteed) and having four queens is a definite plus. I don't like the look as much at Pop but we'd have more space. Also, I was told by a Disney CM that because we have more kids than adults, we'd be guaranteed connecting rooms. Any insight is appreciated!

I've seen other people say the same thing, but other posters on this board have actually experienced the opposite. If not having connecting rooms would be a deal breaker, I'd go with the suite. For me personally, I would prefer two rooms at PoP and if we happened to not get connecting rooms, just deal with it.

With your family configuration, I would do Pop and just know going in that the connecting rooms really aren't guaranteed (though they will do their best). With 5 people, having 4 queens is a definite plus.

I would definitely do POP and make connecting rooms your only request. I agree with the other posters that connecting rooms are never guaranteed, no matter what anyone tells you.

As others have told you, this is not true. You have two adults so therefore you can put one adult in each room. While there are good odds of getting a connecting room, there are plenty on here that will tell you they didn't even get same building. I also agree make connecting rooms your only request. If you also put renovated then you just lost more than half the resort as an option. Check in at the front desk and let them know you are really hoping for connecting.

With your group makeup it probably won't be an issue but I usually say pack with plans to be apart and who will be with who, if connecting then great. Last I want to do is move clothing. And the full beds wouldn't be too bad since you have so few people sharing them, most kids, should you not get the new rooms.
